It's possible depending on who is in your group and what equipment you have. I'm not sure what level I was, but I was using just the Archer and Wynne and slowly pinging it to death.

Where were you standing so you were out of reach? Was it near the entrance to the Gauntlet?

You can, its just a side quest. and quest that doesn't change for your level.

For me DAO beats Oblivion and Fallout easily. The loot is way more satisfying to get and far less tedious to search for. More engaging story too.

The biggest problem with DAO is that its obvious it was delayed too long. Had this come out 1-2 years ago it would have been an instant classic.

I do agree that DAO beats Fallout. Fallout 3 was kind of a disappointment for me. Entertaining yes, but not all I was expecting.

I just skipped it, don't have to ring the gong.

Yeah I skipped it as well as it whooped my ass even on Casual difficulty. Though I was able to get it down to half health.

I however, want to go back and get some potential goodies.

I was moving back and forth. He only jumps between two spots. As long as you're out of reach from his claws you're fine. The drakeskin armor helps out a lot and so does Wynne....and Far Song!

Has anyone done morrigan's grimoire quest?

[Show spoiler]Did you go back to Flemmeth for her Grimoire? If so, did you fight her? Her dragon form annihilates me, not even close.

I have the quest and found the book, but when I go back to her hut she is not there.

The best way to do this is have high fire resistance equipment. You should have at least a couple of characters with 75% fire resistance.

Also don't forget the fire resistance potions.

The way I defeated the gong creature was primarily with Fire Resistance capped on all 4 characters, spreading everyone out so it had to focus on one at a time, and reloading a few times to get lucky enough to win. I did it on...uhh...normal?

Oh yeah and potions. Lots and lots of potions.

There are none..all the shops sell only 1-3 balms. Easiest way would be to make them yourself.
