Lol! I go to Turning Point every few days but haven't in a while so this wasn't me.
I will get a good laugh too.
So I guess they won't take mine if they have duplicates?

Maybe I will trek over to Audio Video Centre.

I just came back from there and Vanilla Sky, Ice Age and Euro Trip are already gone.
I did see The Hustler, the Naked Gun trilogy (DVD), I Love You Man and Midnight Cowboy.

Thanks for the update. I'll probably head over at lunch tomorrow and see what is left. My fault for procrastinating today.

Why not just ask one of the people who also go to that store and obviously took advantage of the glitch to obtain multiple copies if they'd be willing to part with anything for a fair price? Since most paid $0.05 for 3 movies I think a shiny new nickel should suffice.

I've got 4 copies of The Rocky Horror Picture Show sitting here in pristine slipcovers.

My Amazon mail arrives beautifully.

Thanks got Invisible Invaders and Invisible Monster. Funny thing is that right after I checked out they went down in price another few cents.

Wave 3 of my mighty Boxing Day order has shipped, hopefully arriving tomorrow

The Graduate
The Man Who Shot Liberty Vallance
Trading Places
Romancing the Stone
The Jewel of the Nile

Interesting, Once Upon a Time In The West is the only remaining title and I'm half surprised they didn't wait to stock it before shipping these all out together.

3 out of my remaining 5 are seem to be shipping sometime this week or next. Also still waiting up a status update for Once Upon a Time in the West.

Canada Post sucks.

Was supposed to get a movie that was shipped last Thursday, via Amazon Prime, on Monday. That was the ETA.
According to CP website, that sucker was sitting in Montreal for 3 business days. So much for Amazon Prime 2-day shipping.

And of course, those lost 5 movies have never resurfaced. They "delivered" them but I don't know who go them or if they did a return to sender.
Luckily Amazon replaced them at no charge and I'm starting to get shipping notices for the replacements.

I find it odd that I actually like Amazon's own delivery service better than CP's. At least Amazon's is accurate in their ETA and I don't have to go to the post office every time I get a delivery that is a few cm's too big for the parcel box.

I mean, the latter is good for the exercise, but dang it if I do enjoy not having to go anywhere for my stuff!

That's if they actually work.
Had lot of missing mail in December and stretches of no mail for days and a parcel received after Christmas that I was supposed to get before. Nothing like giving an I.O.U. on Christmas morning.

Might be just my area or a new guy that doesn't give a crap.

I have had no issues with Canada Post in my area. That's too bad they aren't as good in your area.

^ I have no probs with CP, overall and in general etc. But yeah, there was a 2 week period at the end of Dec. when I doubt my mail carrier came more than once. Also, I never order anything (parcel) that I think might arrive in the first 10 days of Dec., I always have problems then, I've always assumed it's the seasonal crew since there's never a prob any other time. But I have no control over exactly when those BF purchases get shipped...it's usually the first week of Dec. when they're supposed to arrive.

But...I went out the other day and walked a couple miles to the only mailbox around here that's big enough to mail a BD/envelope back to amazon, thought it would be better exercise than driving to the PO...and the mailbox was gone. Was there not long ago, I drive past there all the time, so kinda surprising. As "Ron" correctly said, CP is not a growing business model, the way they're working now.

IMO they should be putting up more "mailboxes" where people can mail stuff that doesn't need human intervention (e.g. returning online purchases, apparently common??) instead of removing mailboxes. CP gets paid for shipping those parcels, it's not "free" except from our perspective. They'll lose that part of the business too if they don't smarten up, amazon will have people (couriers) come to your house and get stuff if it's worthwhile to them, I can see it coming.

My CP service is pretty good. I have all my packages mailed to me at my office downtown so it is hand-delivered and received, not left on a porch somewhere.

I have also noticed a lot fewer damaged parcels this way. I think this may be because the mailman parks his truck outside the building and carries all the building's mail by hand from the truck up the front steps to the office.

This is much better than carrying loads of mail for a suburban neighbourhood stuffed in a sack.

Honestly I think most of the damage comes from the 'last mile' of post delivery.

That's my theory anyway.

You know...I think I might do this going forward. I see CP workers in my building several times a day.

I have Trading Places, Eurotrip X2, The Talented Mr Ripley, Naked Gun 2 and Vanilla Sky preparing for shipment. After that, only Chinatown will be remaining. That will be 23 out of 24. The total for all of that is $32.83.
