Almost a good enough plot to make a movie out of!
Wow, yeah, that would be frickin' scintillating, wouldn't it?

Is the slip edition of Dead Pit completely sold out or will there be more going up for sale ?

If not, does DF/Code Red have plans for a standard edition ?

Apparently there were more “sold out” DEAD PITs withheld to be bundled with upcoming new titles. As far as a standard edition, they initially said there would be one, but I don’t think we’ve gotten a clear answer on if/when that will actually happen.

I can imagine how much of a shi.t show it was to get a copy of Dead Pit. Let me guess it went up for sale randomly in the middle of the night and it was sold out within 30 mins and the site went into maintenance mode for days on end.

lol. A lot of people thought it was going up for sale on a Thursday but apparently someone on Facebook reported DF for something and it pissed them off and apparently caused a 24 hour delay.

It went for sale Friday in the early evening. They “sold out” of the first 750 they put up for sale... and the site went down for a couple weeks. Since then, they have released a few of the remaining 250 here and there when the store opens back up. I was under the impression is officially sold out on the second reopening but who knows. Apparently it didn’t/they held back some/there is more than 1000 pressed

There are 80 left that will be sold in a bundle with gates of hell, psycho from Texas, and some other films. There will be more at some point after that either with a different slip or with no slip.

Good to know, interested in getting it but don't want to pay Ebay scalper prices...I'd be good with a standard edition blu-ray

I spent $41 buying from someone who obtained two copies to help out fellow forum members and have no regrets. It was a blind buy for me but I felt that it ticked enough boxes for what I normally like that the odds were good that I'd like it. Is it worth $41? No, but Its one of my favorite code red style releases and better than a number of other recent purchases from severin, vinegar syndrome, scream factory and arrow. It's an enjoyable film that unfortunately Dark Forces is using to screw with fans.

Thanks for the feedback TripleHBK, it's good to know that the film is decent, hopefully a standard edition gets released.

I merely asked if it was an upscale, thank you.

They put up around 700 and then over 200, but the numbers were never made completely clear and changed after they were announced because they were actively debating bundle deals right up until they opened the store. Also, some larger orders may have been canceled, with inventory not being relisted.

They added quite a few more bundles than they anticipated, from what I remember, to make it cheaper for people to get it, which was nice, but, then, not all were selling. He split some off and listed them individually but may not have listed all of the ones he split off. It looks like he originally held around 50 copies back and then pulled something like 40 from bundle deals. He stated that he will be putting up the last 80 (keeping 10 for himself, which is much better than I did with my first publication, where I originally kept 30 and cut back to 5, because it was a boring article anyway and who would ever want to read it again, not me).

The numbers haven't changed from some kind of scheme or duplicity. They changed due to the issue of what to bundle with what else and, thankfully, due to the recognition that there should have been a 2 copy limit on that initial release and subsequent efforts to make sure fans could get a copy.

On a completely different subject, did anyone notice they have stated, multiple times, that they are putting a similar limit on all new limited glow-cover blus? It's almost like I was right that David is trying and learning, while growing his business, and other people were completely wrong....

...if everyone didn't already know the story of how you came to hate Arrow and how wrong you are on that front....

Have you seen their Elvira slipcover?

Oh, the humanity.... Of all the threads to be in when asking that question.... But, really, have you seen it? That thing is awesome. I won't bore you with tales of their incredible Blu-ray, because I know you hate their Blu-rays, but, right now, Elvira and David's favourite, the "little Dead Pit", are getting it on in the corner.
