received one title through an amazon.ca third-party seller dispatched via international mail courier from somewhere in europe safe dropped off into the community mailbox by can post. small orange bubble mailer packaging was used. no damage to report item purchased at $16.81 $3.49 for shipping and handling. duty free of course nice steelbook treatment for the walt disney studios home entertainment release of SW das erwachen der macht more of semi glossy finish full wrap around artwork. dark side color tone millennium interior 2-disc set, region abc free playback. j-card/slip ez to remove, sans glu. glossy btw. blu circle is a removable sticker.

I did the same. Threw in Passengers 4K + 3D for free shipping.
But now that I look at it, I only own Beyond in 2D Steelbook form.. so maybe should have grabbed the 3D for $12 as well? Ah well... will wait for that one's 4K to be down instead.

My order just shot up to $17.80 (for 2 movies) since I only have 2 movies instead of 3 in the cart to trigger the double discount and waiting for Trading Places to ship. I already received one of the 3 movies so maybe I should just cancel Trading places to cancel my entire order?

Amazon has been extremely slow to ship items lately. I have 3 orders that are just standing there waiting. I chatted with them the other day and they say it's because I used free shipping! There's like $300 worth of movies in those orders. Any one else having their stuff just wait in limbo ?

Details please. Are you talking about new releases? How long have they been waiting "in limbo", are we talking days, weeks? Does the website say the item is in stock or that they're waiting on more copies? Do you have a Prime membership?

When I ordered the two Star Trek 4K titles, along with Kelly + Victor and Passengers 4K, only one of the Trek movies were out of stock, and it originally said my entire order was being held until May 8th... but they ended up shipping Passengers and Kelly + Victor to me on Friday and I received them yesterday.

So maybe yours will move sooner rather than later too.

They usually just throw a bunch of movies from different orders together and ship them, but not this time it looks like.

Interesting. No, I haven't had that problem with any in-stock items. I usually order in-stock items with stuff I'm pre-ordering to get the free shipping and, of course, they will usually ship those to me right away instead of waiting for the whole package to be ready. My pre-order of Django Prepare A Coffin is sitting there because it doesn't look like they have it in stock yet even though today is release day.

I don't know why they're dicking around especially since I buy most of my movies from them and I spend thousands of $$$ a year with them.

LOL...I wish they'd keep track of a "VIP" type customer and take care of them better...and no I don't mean Prime. I give them enough money already.

Yup, this has been going on all this year, at least with the relatively few orders I've placed. The default delivery window now is 2 weeks, when it used to be 2-3 days in reality for in-stock items. Now in-stock stuff seems to sit for at least a week before entering the true shipping process, including the "preparing for shipment" BS process for typically 3 days. IMO this is a fake process where they think you're getting annoyed by now, so they have this phony stage where they won't let you cancel. This is not the same as the other/next phony stage of "shipping soon" (could be 1-2 days) and "shipping today" (could also be 1 or 2 days, I've had 3 days in this stage once this year). You can't cancel in any of these stages anymore (used to be able to in at least the first two). The Canada Post end happens in 1-2 days after that, so it ain't them.

As I whinged about earlier this year , my belief is they (cleverly) "invented" these prolonged uncancellable shipping stages with stage names that keep you hanging on and having hope, because when they started to "force" Prime on people (by intentional delays), they knew people would get annoyed and want to cancel orders. Actually, I'm kind of impressed by their thinking. I'd never think of something like that myself. Not so impressed by the results (at my end) though...

Weird, everything I have ordered has come the same week, and I don't have prime. Could be because I live within 30 min of their warehouse though.
