So is New Jersey going to make history tonight? Home game against Dallas, trying not to be the first team ever to start a season 0-18. It will be interim coach Tom Barrise's final game before GM Kiki Vandewaghe takes over as coach. Kiki probably didn't want to be the coach of the record-breaking game so he had Barrise coach it. I just don't understand how New Jersey is so bad. They have some decent players. Brook Lopez is pretty good, and Rafer Alston and Chris Douglas-Roberts aren't bad. They've had some injury problems with Devin Harris and Courtney Lee but they still shouldn't be this awful. They've got some winnable games coming up though against the Bobcats, Knicks, and Warriors. I'd be surprised if the streak doesn't end against one of those teams.

The worst record in NBA history was the 1972-73 76ers that went 9-73. I don't think it's possible to win less than 7. You're going to have games where the opponent is just off, or games where the opponents best players are injured or getting the night off, or games where the opponent is tired after playing the night before or flying and getting little sleep.

Wow, the Mavs have victimized the Nets for 49 points in the second quarter alone. 49 points man. And they already have 105 points at the end of the 3rd quarter. Amazing.
Also, Lebron James scored only 12 points in 35 minutes tonight which must be one of his lowest point totals of his career, yet the Cavs still dispatched the Suns easily. Two bad losses for the Suns in two nights. I love it! ![]() |
