One way or another this will be released. At the very worst I think Disney will drop it on Hulu and pretend like it never happen.

Yeah, but you have to at least give Fox credit for going that far with the horror elements. I doubt Marvel Studios would, and Fox has proven to give us great horror elements with the X-Men before...

I'm never one to complain about some horror but I've got very little faith in this movie. We'll see what happens though.

I don't blame you. Like, WTF is going on with this movie? Why is it so difficult to do the reshoots? It's a freaking "horror" movie. It shouldn't be that expensive. Whatever. I just want a good X-Men movie in general, regardless which universe it takes place in.

They tried "body horror" with Fant4stic and everyone hated it.

Unfortunately, I think New Mutants is done. If the reshoots were completed under Fox, the end product would come out as planned, a'la Dark Phoenix. But I can't see Di$ney sinking any more money into this. They'll release it as-is, wherever that "deserves" to be, which will probably be streaming.

It's too bad. I really liked the trailer, and was looking forward to this.

Some of the body horror worked. For sure, it would be scary as hell for Ben.

Mainly the re-shoots that Simon Kinberg did. That movie as an adaptation was pretty bad but as a sci-fi film I was really into it until the obvious re-shoots and third act where it went off the rails.

I still would have loved to have seen Trank's complete film.

I'm talking about the scenes with the psychopathic mutant girl murdering innocent people and the asylum scenes where all those mutants are killing each other. Moments like that made me think this is what The New Mutants should be about.
