The Devil made them do it? AGFA never publicly gave a reason. The Satanis DVD is still available from Something Weird. Satan's Children is no longer available from Something Weird even as a download. That film could've very well been the cause. Again, just speculation, and again a shame. Satan's Children is a real gem.

I know Mike Varney (spelling) was sometimes releasing titles that the rights owners could not be found. I'm not sure what the case with this is, and if the copyright holder won't allow a re-release. I'm just guessing. I haven't seen Satanis since the 90s, so I don't recall much, but I did like Asylum of Satan. It's not a masterpiece but has some good visuals and ideas. |

Now that they're releasing Carnival of Blood I really hope we can see:
The Findlay Flesh Trilogy... The Touch of Her Flesh (1967) The Curse of Her Flesh (1968) The Kiss of Her Flesh (1968) And Blood Freak (1972) Those are some great SWV discs that I'd love to see get updated. |

Blood Freak is owned by someone who I have heard is difficult to work with, at least in terms of the amount of $$$ asked for. |

40% of The Touch of Her Flesh is watching a couple dry hump while dubbed voices repeat the same monotonous moaning. The movies themselves don't quite live up to the lurid titles. The films are goofy fun, but most of the charm comes from the time and setting of New York that has long since passed.
Yet I'm ecstatic and sad to hear Distribpix has them as I'd purchase them in a heartbeat. The company puts out quality releases that are just stacked and brimming with love and care. The downside is they give Synapse a run for their money when it comes to actually putting something out. |

I can't imagine Mike Vraney paying very much for Blood Freak. It's possible that SWV released it thinking it was an abandoned title, (SWV was lucky enough to find an extremely large amount of film prints and negatives that were free to take, from a building about to be demolished), and at some point the owner got upset and started asking for lots of money. I could be wrong though. SWV has many films that they never got around to releasing (he bought a few from me), after Mike died.

Since SWV released the Godmonster of Indian Flats, I wonder if they may have access to another film by the same director called Alabama's Ghost. The movie is pretty crazy and I don't think it got a DVD release.
