That was fixed long ago, back in the Diamond Edition disc replacement program.

Not only the switched shots, but the fade out at the beginning of the film was corrected too.

Other errors were left untouched.

My steelbook import from Canada arrived in excellent condition on Saturday, so I gave this a spin last night.

And it looked fine. It doesn't look mind-blowingly amazing sure, but it looks perfectly fine. The animation linework seems finer and sharper, the colours are deeper and as a result the image is darker, but yet looks better. I didn't notice any DNR problems at all. This is an improvement. But anyone expecting anything more substantial should temper expectations.

If your not doing anything with the digital code, or can't use it in the UK at all, can I please have it?
I honestly hate to ask, but TLM is only one of the big four I don't have on digital.

I just received my digibook version and I have no need for the movies anywhere code, so the first person to PM me will get it.

I spent some more time comparing discs and the noise reduction after comparing the two isn't that detrimental. Only a couple scenes where it bothers me, and looking at old release, those scenes don't look too hot either. Birds during intro, first Scuttle scene, and some background walls underwater. Not worth avoiding.

How about this (different type of parody tho)?

Under the Sea
Everyone pees
It's not always better
When it gets wetter
Take it from me!

Out in the sun we change our pants
Trying to get another chance
It's not always better
When it gets wetter
Take it from me!!

Sampled this earlier today. Didn't A/B with the BD but if you told me I was watching the 1080p disc, I wouldn't have argued. Doesn't look bad, just doesn't look like UHD either. Also sounded a little Atmouse'd, had to turn up the volume a bit (but not to the extent of Last Jedi/Black Panther).

I thought the colors were bolder and more stable. No egregious banding that I was able to detect, etc.

TLM was inked and painted rather flat without a lot of deep shadow and strong specular highlights like some of the Disney Golden Era films or modern CGI based titles to really take advantage of HDR grading.

Had the exact same reaction to Lion King. Might look decent in itself, but there's virtually zero benefit in terms of resolution vs the BD, this kind of line art just doesn't have anything over and above 2K (if that!). I know I'm the one usually crowing about how resolution doesn't matter and that HDR's the thing but, well, when the HDR isn't overly amazing either (Lion King I mean, not Little Mermaid as my copy's en route) then it makes me question the whole package.
