Yet so many people think they're real. I've seen some posted on here.

Been busy so not had a chance to comment on the trailer on here, but I thought it was literally 'fantastic'. I love the retrofuturistic 60s they're going for, and the Thing's use of practical and CGI is perfect.

You can already tell this is going to be the definitive big screen Fantastic Four adaptation.

Unfounded speculation here but i saw something on Reddit with a zoomed clip of Sue and Reed showing somebody around and they implied the trailer had been edited basically to hide a pregnancy bump on Sue.

If that's true, First Steps then could definitely have more than one meaning with a kid introduced into this new MCU world at the same time. I wouldn't put it past Marvel to do that and i am curious to see if that theory plays out at release.

Well, I just checked the D23 footage and Sue definitely has no pregnancy bump.

Kind of just goes to show most don’t know anything about quality cause they can’t even notice the easiest details.

Wasn't there a rumour that

Also going to have a big role in Doomsday and Secret Wars as well. Here is also some evidence...

I've read the comics on and off for a while, and I like the look of this teaser trailer. Pedro Pascal is complaining miscast as Reed Richards, which goes against it a lot for me, but otherwise it's looking promising. Hope so, after the previous bad FF movies we've had to put up with.

I guess I'm just confused by this "miscast" label that keeps coming up. Pascal seems fine for the role. It's not Jack Black in King Kong.

Truthfully…..i don’t like any of the casting, but I’ll them breathe and provide a good story.

Pedro can act but doesn’t look the part.
Sue is passable but doesnt give me classic Sue middle American vibes.
Johnny looks goofy.
Ben can act but shouldn’t be the same size as the team and the voice is up in the air.
HERBIE looks awesome!

The Thing is listed as 6 feet tall according to the marvel handbook.
Sue Is 5' 6"
Reed is 6'1"
Johnny is 5' 10"

That is The Thing's height.
The no prize answer is The Thing is heavier so has a lower center of gravity so is shorter. I could not find a listing for Ben's human height.

Isn't Thing also set back a bit from the rest of the group in that photo? So it's kind of a forced perspective thing. Either way, I'm cool with the explanation of the rocks weighing him and his center of gravity down. Accurate height has never been one of those nerdy things that's bothered me, and I suspect the same for the studios. At the end of the day, they're going to go with whoever can play the role best, whether they're shorter, taller, etc. Look at Wolverine- very few folks would argue that he's not pretty dang perfect in the role, even if he's a few feet taller. Some things read better in comics than they would on screen with actual people. As long as Thing is appropriately bulky, which he definitely is, then it doesn't really bother me.

I only cared that the Thing be bigger for a possible future match-up against the Hulk. Other than that, he looks fine, better than his predecessors. I'm not keen on the full-body suit.

Sue is a little tall and I worry that they will make her an aggressive protagonist that outshines the rest of the team. Their powers are supposed to be reflective of their character.

Johnny seems fine, so far.

Reed needs to lose the stache but I have no qualms with Pedro. He is better than all previous Reed Richards.

I played the PS1 Fantastic Four video game, which is a fighting game. You pick any of the four heroes. It's an okay game at best, but really shows its age.

A modern Fantastic Four video game could've been good. Set in an open city and you could fly around, or be the other characters.
Mr. Fantastic could swing around like Spider-Man if he wanted to.
The Thing/Rockman could break through barriers.
Mrs. Fantastic could be good for stealth.

No game like that. Missed opportunity.

It is criminal that there has not been a fourth game, and the 3rd game was only released on the Switch.

True, but if Logan could be resized, Ben could be.
We accepted this.

He shouldn’t be the size of Colossus, but he should be bigger than Sue.
