I also killed Rydell with the Puzzy-from-corner-with-a-bow tactic, it will take you around 100 arrows I had Sticky compound long bow +4, equip the graverobber ring so you can get a little closer, after you hit, run back as he will chase you but then he will fall back and repeat again, tedious but gets job done. Luckily this one does not heal as Satsuki

Another tip: Let the bad boys leave you with 30% of health and equip Clever Rat ring for boost in damage, anyways the BP kill in one hit, also dont use any armor when fighting them, just your shield. Like I said they will kill you in one hit anyway.

No, I was from a distance, shot at him, he ran at me, but then stopped and ran back to his original position. Then after he went back I shot him again. He didn't heal so it was just a waiting game.

I died like 20 times to Satsuki (got him close to 0 HP several times but he healed up ... lol) until I stopped a minute to think. And I found the solution, I went back and kick his ass so fast rofl !!

the tactic was to get my good old Quality Dagger +4 from the bank. With fast hits, I can hit him like 10 times before I run out of energy and he has no chance to ripost cause he takes some time to recover.

The woman was abit of a pain to kill as well... but I think I ran out of patience and that's what really killed me, cause it only takes a little time to do her, nothing more.

These two being dead, I decided to stop the game and only play again at the end of the event.

What I did with Satsuki was, I put on the graverobber ring, I shot an arrow the skeleton badguy, so he charged me, let him hit me a couple of times, so my Clever rat ring goes to effect, kill him, took off all my equipment except for Shield and just spammed the BP in a corner, he was dead in like 15 strikes I also used the fast stamina recovery ring.

Miralda is pissing me off, it takes a while to get to her and fight lasts for a while because her vitality, and her movements change. She always kills me when she continues striking and does not stop after first hit

I had no difficulty with Sakuki and Miralda. I just killed them normally with melee. :shrugs:

Though the Black Phantom in 2-2, I had to cast anti-magic field just so he wouldn't fry my ass.

I'm kind of not done with all this ''Blackness''

I need to check mine. After I got the Dark worlds I played offline and everything was still Dark. But I have been playing R&C since then. Will check it when I get home. I was hoping if you stay offline it would not reset.

The Lava Bow will be the same whether you create it with a short bow or a compound long bow. At low level, the Lava Bow will dish out more damage, but a Sticky Compound Longbow +5 will dish out more damage at higher levels. I think after I hit the 35 or 40 dex mark the Sticky was noticeably more damage than the Lava Bow.

How to get this Demon's Soul (max 10 per game)

* Primeval Demon (requires Pure Black World Tendency) There is one in each realm, and it is not a guaranteed drop from them (Luck, and Large Sword of Searching helps!)
o 1-3: From the archstone, go past where you find the Minister's Hat. Take the right stairs and past two guards with their backs to you, you should see the Primeval Demon.
o 2-1: From the archstone, go into the area underneath the falling boulders. Find the crank, go out to the balcony and take the lift down. There will be a Primeval Demon there.
o 3-2: In the swamp, guarded by enemies off one of the ramps which leads to a dead end on a cliff.
o 4-2: After killing the first reaper, fall down and turn left. There should be a passageway that opens to the left hand side of the Reaper's room. There's a body with an Eye, and on the way, a secret passage entrance that can be destroyed. There's a strong Dual-Katana Black Skeleton here, which can kill you in one hit. After defeating him, continue left and upwards towards where the White Bow is, until you reach the Primeval Demon.
o 5-2: Directly facing the female merchant in the "village", head directly left back into the swamp, towards the ramp which leads up to the slug nest. Past some mosquitoes you will encounter the Primeval Demon.
* 1-1 near Miralda, the Executioner. Requires Pure White/ Pure Black world tendency. On dead body on beam in the tower stairwell where you fight Miralda. You must walk on a beam and fall down into a gap to reach there. One Time Revival will not save you if you fall.
* Sparkley, the Crow in 4-1
o Exchange for Gold Mask
o Exchange for Talisman of God
* Assassination quest reward from Mephistopheles (requires pure black Character tendency)
o Killing Biorr, of the Twin Fangs for Mephistopheles rewards one.
o Killing Patches, the Hyena for Mephistopheles rewards one.

Farming Dragon Shards is easily done via the bugs in 2-2.

The worlds will no longer be black. They should be back to whatever they were prior to turning black on Halloween.

I'm getting my butt handed to me by the Arch Demon in 1-4. Ostrava or what have you Black Phantom was a complete joke. I was able to kill him with arrows before he could even reach me down the hallway (only took like 6-7 shots).


I went into the main fight with confidence that I could just cast the Anti-Magic field and I'll be okay. Yeah....no....apparently he does special attacks that are not considered spells. So later down the road in the fight it was difficult for me to notice when he was going to cast SoulSucker (decrease 1 level). So when he did cast it on me, lets just say that I quickly quit the game before it could save.


Any suggestions?

Use warding, you learn it from the Tower Knight soul. Then play with your equip til its under half. Bring your bow and a bunch of arrows. Keep the catylist in your offhand. Then just shoot froma distance. If he charges, keep rolling away until your a bit away from him. If he hits you, dont heal right away. Get some distance, then heal. Just keep shooting arrows, and keep warding up. I 1 shot him in NG+ solo, and 1 shot him again with 1 helper in NG++.

When I fought him I started with a sword/shield approach, dodge his move, strike once or twice, keep block up, but after having three levels drained I changed my approach. I equipped the bow and backpedaled from him always. When he would strike I would dodge and fire two or three arrows coming out of the roll, and begin to backpedal again. I was never far from him, but enough distance to make him have to charge so I could dodge appropriately. I also kept Warding on the entire fight. It was a long fight.

Well, there isn't much strategy there besides the normal "dodge and strike", but that is how I took him down.

Also I think my biggest problem is that I'm not use to fighting with Bow and Arrow in melee and I kept hitting L1, out of reaction to block with of course just put me in zoomed in mode, when he was attacking me compared to to dodge.

Its just frustrating that its difficult to practice on him with that stupid SoulSucker spell.

Thats why you wear less armor and get really good at dodging. I never even tried to cast it on me the 2nd time I killed him. I never let him get close enough.
