You're not missing much, if you aren't watching it. David spent around twenty minutes so far (allegedly) openly calling for all kinds of violent interaction with some guy named Don, nearly all of which would be illegal in California.

It got a bit awkward. David usually just says something along the lines of, "you'd never say that to my face, 'cause I'd kick your a**", and then never says anything about that person for the rest of the feed. That's one of the things I like about him, not the kicking a** part but the not ever mentioning it again. Letting things go is good. It just got awkward.



EDIT: Since I'm sadly still stuck working on something, I am still listening....

It got much better after that awkward issue over the kid had passed.

Bill:

1) Bill talked a little bit about a couple of titles currently with other labels.

2) He and David spoke about movies, being label owners and the like.

3) They discussed Bill's fears that Walt's investment in a 4K scan for Gates of Hell could cost him too much money and harm Scorpion. That is always a risk with larger investments.

4) Bill also spoke on the phone with a 67 year old semi-deaf man and that was the highlight of the evening, because Bill kept having to yell and repeat himself and much of what came out of the phone was the other guy yelling "What?" over and over.

David:

David spent quite a lot of time on his philosophies, talking about depressive issues, how life is all about being unhappy, the bulk of it is terrible, then there's a little good in between all of the horror. I've been surrounded by death and despair my whole life and I describe that life as mostly good, so I'm wondering what possibly could have gotten him to a life-is-mostly-crap philosophy. Hopefully, he'll perk up and start to find a little more good. I think we all want him to be happy, along with everyone else. But, then, he finally got to...

MOVIES... and he said...

1) Ator is looking good. He said they used "film elements" for it.

2) There was no discussion of The Banker.

3) He said Mirror Mirror should be September, then he mentioned Halloween at the outside, but reiterated September, most likely.

4) He announced that an original negative for an unnamed film has been acquired and he'll be announcing that next week.

At the very beginning they started with Mirror Mirror, but showed it from very far away. Really, the clip they posted the other day is the best way, so far, to see how great it looks. Periodically David would mention it but, then, they never returned to Mirror Mirror. During their brief discussion, Bill gave a rundown on the actors and producers, where they are now. He said Rainbow Harvest lives in Texas, is in her 50s now, and is an elevator operator.

Also, Bill was upset because, apparently, people wanted to pay $8 for BBNM. That's a pretty low price for a nice restoration. $20 sounds more reasonable but, apparently, people wanted to pay $8. That's all I can remember.

It is worth listening to, if it is still up, just skip through the argument with the kid on Facebook, when they get to it.

Just received my Dark Force Glow pack with Breeders, Gates of Hell/Psycho from Texas, and Dead Pit.
I loved the bonus items: a Dead Pit poster and 3 cool stands, 1 for each Blu-ray. Very unexpected but much appreciated!

I immediately threw in Breeders, my #1 favorite of the 4 movies, and all I can say is WOW!

The picture quality is simply amazing. This is a favorite movie of mine since its release and I have the VHS, DVD, and now BLU.
This is far superior in picture quality to any of the other releases.

I was especially pleased at how clear the many many dark scenes looked. In some of them the colors practically glowed.
Whatever the sources were, DF managed to get an amazing transfer out of them, great job guys and gals

Oh and finally, I won't go into details so see for yourself, but the "special" scenes with Samantha Janus alone, and with her friends,
were even better than I remember them ever looking.

Can't wait to see the other 3 movies now.

You have to be joking right? I can't think of one Dark Force release that has blown anyone away when it comes to picture quality.

How can anyone who is independently wealthy and own a Blu-ray label be unhappy?

Scorpion's is a 4K scan and restoration from the original negative. DF's is from a 35mm print, I believe.

Demon hates nerds and spends much of the stream screaming out "NERDS!!" much like the the badguys in Revenge of the Nerds.

Anyone who criticizes DF is, of course, a nerd.

Demon is ready to fight everyone on the internet.

Bill is totally disinterested in doing livestreams, making us wonder why he is even bothering to show up for them.

Can't tell if MIRROR MIRROR looks bad or good, because it's being shown to us via a poor quality cellphone camera filming in low light and held in portrait view.

Demon assures us it is the best ever.

MIRROR MIRROR still sucks as a horror movie.

They should always be given 2 weeks, but what was your order #? I think they are in the 4100s.

So Dead Pit arrived for me. While the glow effect is nice I see no difference in slip quality from regular release other than its glossy. I am glad to have this in my collection though.
