I think I'm actually starting to prefer these BOGO50% sales more than the B2G1. Sure the discounts are bigger during B2G1 sales but you have to spend more, which also a lot of times leads me to buy movies that I'm only kind of interested in and perhaps probably wouldn't have bought, but I buy them just so I can get a better price on the movies I really want. I'm at a point in my collecting that I have to be more discerning.
Also, it's easier for me to find two similarly priced items than three. I'm also thinking that as the prices go up the deals aren't as great. Last year I picked up some boxsets that were in the $125 range IIRC and now one of the sets I'm missing has shot up to $150+. When you do the math it's still a deal but I think you can find similar sale prices elsewhere without having to buy in multiples. |

I set my alarm for 2 AM and sacrificed some sleep to ensure I got some of the 'gonna sell out fast' movies and managed to get everything I wanted. Primarily Moana 2 which brought it down to $37.70, which isn't a bad price for Disney 4K steelbook.

Reordered my preorders for Moana 2 and Kraven Steelbooks. Makes them more acceptable now. Also did a second order for the Dune Prophecy and Watchmen Chapter II. The latter will probably go down in price later, but they’re reasonably priced now for not having to wait a year or two.

Again, due to my paranoia, I caved.
In the old days I’d just wait for BF, in the old days 4K was generally bundled with a Blu-ray Disc and I continue to worry about stock availability and digital code expirations. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 4K Steelbook with Blu-ray Disc, WB enforcer of code expiration Alien Romulus 4K, given what happened last BF, I think the $10 days are over for Disney The new normal is working on me ![]() |

Everything I was interested in is OOS. Is this entirely because of this sale or are the warehouses just holding less stock?

It’s no longer 2010 or even 2016 anymore when prices were great, stock availability plentiful. Even at Target and Walmart you’d see tons of titles, row after row. Many of us were screaming the sky is falling, the sky is falling. It fell. |

It’s a blind buy. Wonder if it’s worth it even at this price though. |

Quick question:
I assume this is how it works but just wanted to double check. Say I place one order during the "BOGO 50% off" sale for two pre-order items with the following (hypothetical) prices: Item 1 - $25 Item 2 - $30 Total - $55 Target then places a temporary hold for $55. But then when Item 1 ships out, do they only charge me for that item, meaning only $25? Then, months later, they would charge me only $30 for Item 2 when that ships, correct? And if you decide to cancel Item 2 later on - do you still keep the discounted price on Item 1? Thanks in advance to anyone who can confirm! |
