I'm sure someone else has had this experience so I figured I'd ask:

So my order for Social Network 4k steelbook and Panic Room 4k steelbook shipped out on Feb 15 from UPS and was to be handed off to USPS for delivery with an estimated delivery to me on Friday February 21st. Friday goes by and nothing. Target shows a new estimated date of Monday the 24th. Again no package. UPS tracking stops on Feb 17th with it just saying handed off to USPS. USPS doesn't show any tracking whatsoever for this, just says waiting to receive from UPS. I contacted Target asking if I could get a new order shipped but they couldn't do that because both items are oos. All they could do is refund me and told me I could keep the items if they arrive.

So my question is has anyone had a similar situation with UPS handing a package off to USPS and that package not showing any updates. Did you ever receive the package? And if so about how long after?

This has happened to me a couple times this year actually. I guess USPS hasn’t been very consistent with their updates lately. Just last week I received Nosferatu in the mail and USPS was still showing it was waiting for the package.

It's happened to me. And I eventually got them. They're in limbo because they were misplaced or not scanned or the post office is behind.

It's happened to us as well, though usually it's no more than a few days late. I called our PO about it the first time. Mind you, this was back when target still handled their media fulfillment and the PO would actually answer a phone, but I was told they get entire pallets from the UPS, just of target shipments, every week and that it was common for packages to get put on the wrong pallet, in which case it'll take a week or two to get routed back to the proper PO. Why they don't seem to update tracking when that happens, until it's out for delivery, I can only speculate. But, in most cases, it's just delayed a few days because they haven't gotten around to unpacking the pallet. And part of such economy services is that they take a backseat even to straight Media Mail.

Hope that's that case. UPS is being no help on this at all so I'm hoping it's just waiting to be scanned by usps.

I'd rather have the items then the refund. I was more just curious if others had similar situations. I know Target's shipping process has gotten worse lately.

Not sure this is the case but UPS/USPS is a mess right now ..USPS ended surepost deliveries which means UPS now have to deliver them

And UPS isn't updating this. Sucks this had to happen to a pacakage with items that are sold out everywhere.

What's odd is these items came out a month after the end of Surepost so why would UPS still be handing off stuff to usps?

So I think there are actually 2 different services: UPS sure post and UPS Mail Innovations. Both of which USPS make final delivery.

They only ended Surepost.

Unfortunately, target ships by mail innovations, so USPS still seems to be making final delivery.

Yes, I had a target package go untracked for several weeks in early December of last year, but it was finally delivered.

When is the last time Target featured a 4k movie in their ad?! So Gladiator 2 will be in stores? Weird since they stopped carrying movies at my local stores.
