While I was being more on the serous side, some of these comments are pretty damn funny, that cat thing is great.
Drinkmore was on "my page"( however, I did enjoy the "other page") about how far things have come and in such a short time. You were right about how much humans really depend on machines. I watched 2010 last night and computers like Hal 9000 are not that far off, if not already here and functioning. If you had a computer virus that infected alot of computers and you had a learning virus, then in theory couldnt it control alot of the things drinkmore said? We may not have to fight robots but think of the shit storm that would bring if those things all failed. we may fight ourselves. |

That is what you are asking about. If it does happen, I think humans would become obsolete within seconds, and wiping us out would not be something the new "intelligence" would worry about, any more than we worry about kangaroos or ants. The "War" humans would fight would last forever, because the "machines" would not care or fight back...kind of like when an ant bites you, you dont go rampaging against every ant. BTW, SOME people think it has already happened. A computer recently has made discoveries on its own already. Created a hypothesis, created a test, tested it, revised etc and made an new discovery. THAT is impressive. Quote:
