I won't be able to play/edit the levels I or anyone else made in the PS3 version with the PSP version right? They're entirely separate games?

We have. Announced a week ago on the US blog:

LittleBigPlanet (PSP) on the PlayStation Store – Two week special!
We know a lot of you are waiting to hear about getting LBP (PSP) through the PlayStation Store, and more specifically, how you can get the cool pre-order costumes too. Well, here you go:

We’re pleased to announce that if you purchase LittleBigPlanet (PSP) through the PlayStation Network from 11/17/09 to 12/3/09, you’ll also get the six Sackboy costumes from UNCHARTED 2, Killzone 2 and MotorStorm.

So now you have two options to get LittleBigPlanet (PSP) plus these costumes – reserve your physical copy at any of our participating retailers, or be sure to purchase the game on the PlayStation Store within the first two weeks of launch.

There's no crossover for created levels. PSP obviously can't handle the sorts of levels created on PS3, PSP levels would look crap blown up on PS3 and keeping the two playing nice with each other would further delay future progress.

Check the fourth paragraph:

LittleBigPlanet is here for PSP! Yes, we’ve finally finished, and I don’t mind admitting that molding Media Molecule’s PS3 game to fit its new home on the PSP and PSPgo has been a rollercoaster ride for us all.

The game is in stores beginning Tuesday and I have to say that we’re very proud of it. When we were first asked to make a PSP version of LittleBigPlanet, we wondered how on earth that much physics was ever going to fit onto something so much smaller, but to be honest we’ve enjoyed the challenge and now have a whole new world of LittleBigPlanet to show for it.

A world that contains thirty-eight newly created levels across seven different environments, all ready for you to play and explore – in addition to the whole Play, Create, and Share experience that’s synonymous with LBP.

The process, however, has not been without its share of hiccups. We are aware that the game is not yet available on the PlayStation Store, but we’re currently working around the clock to get this issue worked out so keep your eyes peeled for updates this week. We appreciate you bearing with us!

We’d also like to thank Media Molecule for all of their hard work in coming up with the incredible world that is LittleBigPlanet in the first place.

We’ve now added our own sprinkle of magic dust and we’re thrilled to bring LBP PSP to the fans so that they can enjoy it anytime, anywhere. To raise the excitement level even more, here’s a look at our launch trailer, as well as some of the great reviews that have hit thus far…

game is great BUT create mode has one nagging omission .. you cant cut out in the middle of an object .. which is a big downer for a few of my ideas .. yes i can still accomplish them but in a much harder , more time consuming manner than being able to cut holes into things..

They couldn't be any more vague? Updates? How's about saying when the game will actually be out for us go users? I just wish things would get done the way they are supposed to.

Weird, I came into this thread just to see what people were writing, and then just seconds later, an LBP commercial was on TV.

The game is good, and works better on PSP than I imagined. I haven't tried creating anything yet, but I can't imagine that's any fun given the controls of a PSP.

Is there a way to re-map the buttons? I really wish the sticker rotation/resizing was controlled with R + the joystick, instead of L + the joystick, because that feels better/less weird.

If it clears testing today it will be released today, if not it will release with the first store update after testing has been passed. It's regrettable that there is any delay, particularly given PSP-Go users' reliance on digital delivery, but it has been unavoidable.
I'm willing to accept that something happened, but to not even bother to have a special update to the PSN store to get it out ASAP? W...T...F...?

Further digging Sam says it'll be ready to go on the 24th. Right now I'll believe it when I see it.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who's pissed at this. And as far as them waiting for the next update, I'd bet if MM were a 3rd party dev, they would update it. Just like AC:B got put on the store on a Monday.

yup... this is a good way to ensure a short lifespan on the GO. Not releasing games day/date with the UMD and then when it is ready delaying it for the next store update.

There is no incentive to get the GO if you want all of the new games on the day of release. Sony should have made sure that all new games (after the GO launch) were guaranteed to be available day/date with the disc launch.

To slow down the hate a bit...does anyone have a tracklist of the songs for the PSP version yet? I played the demo and dig the song - much like the original game I expect the tracklist to be good.

If nobody has it, I imagine something may be listed in the instruction booklet...my copy should arrive on Monday.

Does anybody else have the game yet?

I'm stuck on the level that involves a monkey and a lamp suspended from a ceiling, and the monkey asks you to get the lamp for him. I can't figure out what to do. Using the springs on the floor, you can jump up and grab the monkey, or grab the lamp, but nothing seems to accomplish anything.

I've tried to swing the monkey toward the lamp and vice versa, but nothing is happening.
