Default psp update problems! HELP ME!

Help me I'm trying to update my psp but it keeps saying the file is corrupted. This has happen on two different psps in two different ways.
The first psp update was DLed from the site to my pc then to a Mem stick then to my psp, and it said, Corrupt Data. On the other psp I did it through the update button in the psp and it did the same thing. I tried each twice now.

What should I do?

It says:

'The update cannot be started. The data is corrupted. (SGT90000001)

Have you tried backing up your memory stick content to your PC harddisk and wiping the Memory Stick using the PSP's own format function?

Settings > System Settings > Format Memory Stick

I had the same problem, it only downloads to 61% right? Well I just used to Japanese website to get the update and it worked just fine. I have a US PSP, here's the link and install it like you normally would.

try this - http://www.tsurugi.co.uk/misc/EBOOT.PBP

Let me know if it worked for you.
