not here-- I live in WA state which apparantly has the worst weather in the entire U.S. this year! (though it finally warms up this Tuesday from what I hear)

anyway-- we're going to watch Independence Day

Post An Annual Tradition Since 1996!

"Independence Day". Skipped out on work to go see it with a friend over at Westglen Theaters on July 4th. Got in trouble the day after (gave the guy that took my place overtime), but was it worth it! I've made sure to watch it every July 4th since. I've experienced this movie at a fantastic theater, then on VHS, then on DVD, and now on Blu-ray!

The first Jaws is one of the best movies all time and the second is a pretty good sequel IMO. I haven't watched Jaws 3 and Jaws: The Revenge in years. This year would have been perfect for Jaws on blu-ray since this is its 35th anniversary.

That's in my queue for the day as well as starting the John Adams mini-series. I won't finish that today though.

National Treasure is another good one to watch.

Yesterday I went out with my best buddy to celebrate the 4th of July early just because I won't be able to see them for another couple months and can't today, so we celebrated it early. We went to see Grown Ups (Mediocre) and then had our own firework celebration in their backyard.
As for on 4th of July itself, I'm with family and if they decide to put something on, I'll watch it, otherwise, nothing. Kind of awesome that even the older folks in my family have a full 1080P 70 inch SHARP tv, full surround sound, a Pioneer Elite receiver, and a Sony Blu-Ray Player. So if we decide to watch one today, we'll be rockin'. Hehe.
I have no idea what speakers these are, but they're intense!!

ID4 over, watching Back to Sherwood, not too bad. Erica definitely looks gorgeous in it.

Thanks. I was in the mood to watch it today anyways, but it works even better since it's the 4th. When I do get around to watching it that is.

I hear that. I'm in the Seattle area and it feels like March.

Back on topic, I'll probably be watching the Brothers Grimm. That and maybe Strange Days, which just showed up from Germany a couple days back. And if there's still time after I'll throw on Gran Torino... or the Fountain.
