Will get this in a heartbeat. Loved the movie, and the fact it'll be a two disc edition. (I don't count the Digital Copy; I hate it when studios say a movie is two disc and one of them is a DC).

Day 1 purchase for me. Love the robust amount of extras.

I think the November 17th date is set in stone

It's very odd that paramount has chosen such a late date, Star Trek was one of the earlier summer movies. Wolverine came out only a week before it did yet their bluray street dates are 2 months apart and Transformers 2 came out a few weeks after trek yet it's bluray is out 2 weeks before

Perhaps the amount of extras caused the overly long theatrical to home video time frame or something?

It would figure the summer movie i'm most anticipating on Blu would be the one i'd have to wait the longest for

Default Star Trek Blu-ray

Okay, I'm sure somebody somewhere knows somebody who has had an advanced peek at the new Bluray for Star Trek. Opinions? I know it has 3 discs.

I haven't heard anything about it, but of all the movies from this summer this is the one I'm looking forward to the most.

to each their own of course

I tried getting into STAR WARS and went back and watched the original three one week and just couldn't catch the "spark." The only part that was enjoyable for me was Han Solo (only because I'm a huge Indy fan). Use the Schwartz Luke!

USA Have you noticed Amazon pulling back?

I pre-order Star Trek (Three-Disc +Digital Copy) [Blu-ray] (2009) from Amazon on July 17, 2009. About two days ago, I noticed that the pre-order was deleted from my purchase page. During these past couple of months, the price dropped to $25.99, then to $24.49. I thought that was pretty good. Then after seeing the Star Trek blu ray pre-order had been deleted from Amazon's "open orders" section, I emailed to request that it be put back in with the lower price with free shipping, since that was the choice that I made when I had ordered the blu ray. I get an email from Amazon indicating they will not honor the lower price and that is the reason why they deleted/pulled the order. Now, with the customer in mind, shouldn't Amazon have contacted me regarding the dropped order instead of me hunting it down? I'll copy part of the email that was sent to me from Amazon for the reason why they pulled the order.

"Again, we sincerely regret the error that resulted in an incorrect price being displayed for the DVD.

Because this item's correct price was higher than our stated price, we made the decision to cancel this item. In accordance with our posted policies on pricing, we were unable to offer this item for the incorrectly posted price.

Our pricing policy is posted in the Help section and is accessible through numerous other areas of our website. You can read it here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custom...?nodeId=468502

We realize that the cancellation of this item may have been disappointing, but we want to make sure that your decision to make a purchase with us is based on the most accurate information possible.

To compensate you for this inconvenience, I would request you to place a new order for this DVD and write back to us with new order number, so that we can price match with the earlier price."

End of email transmission from Amazon...

Now I ask ya... do you think Amazon was fair to delete an order without notifying me? And should they not honor the pre-order and the price drop? Any feedback on this?

I'm not griping too much about having to pay $27.99, but what bothers me is that Amazon decides to delete the order without notification. I think that is just bad business. Don't you?

To me it looks like they are going to give you the original price of your first pre-order.

Aside from some trekkie, geeky, nitpicky stuff I could offer, if you like the previous Trek films, you'll like this one.
