Thought I'd bump this thread as I was just thinking about this movie and was wondering if it made its way to Blu yet. Definitely an 80s classic, and a Stephen King movie to boot! Hope it comes to Blu soon.

There's an hd master out there as Epix was showing it in hd in OAR. I don't even know who has distribution rights now, but Epix is a venture by Paramount, Lionsgate, and MGM, so probably one of those three (or maybe they only have tv rights, but someone had to do the hd master).

I'd love to blast the hd audio for the AC/DC score.

I'd still think it deserves a BD release.

I love this movie almost as much as Christine so I would love to have it on BD with bonus features including extra gore scenes or even all of the pictures in a gallery like I read some other Country got on their dvd or even a commentary finally but the one thing I really hope is the cover is better than the dvd's.

I also hope some day AC/DC brings out the rest of the songs they made especially the instrumentals that didn't make it on the Who Made Who anything else.

For anyone wants to know someone has the head that was blown up at the end who has been trying to restore it for years and there is pieces of it for sale on Ebay but not as much left.

Well the CHRISTINE Blu-Ray has pretty much SOLD OUT (218 left of 3000 as I type this) in less than 6hrs on Screen Archives. I hope this signals something to FOX or Anchor Bay or whomever to get their act together & see the obvious fanbase King's adaptations have. Especially the 80s productions.

Maximum Overdrive would be the only one that I really want on Blu.

Totally in for this one (unless it's limited to 3000 copies or whatever).

It's weird, how times change. When Maximum Overdrive was released it was mocked for the sheer silliness of its concept but we now live in an age when driverless trucks are being tested and are expected to be on the roads in less than a decade. A pretty entertaining film with a solid soundtrack that I'd buy on blu. May be time for a new adaptation of the story.

Seems like there has to be a decent market for this? I mean compared to some stuff that has gotten releases. Come on Shout or somebody!

Saw that the Goblinhead truck will be coming to a Scarefest locally in the fall and I was curious if this will hit blu ray anytime soon

Straight up. If TT gets a hold of it, that means I'm waiting three or more years. Otherwise, this is one I'd like to see on blu as well.
