Sorry, Mike, but I'm going to bed here shortly. Wish I could hang out longer, but I'm pretty tired after my hard, busy day. I actually just finished a project that was needed by my sales team before 8 am. Nothing like cutting it close.

Looking at some websites for some stand alone CD Players and 2 and 3 channel seperate amplifiers.
Trying to see if there are any good deals out there.

So,have you been thinking about the speaker upgrade or are you still undecided if thats the first upgrade you should make?

Oh i think I will go with your suggestion of getting the 3 front speakers first. However you didnt answer my question: How much did your CS10 cost?

Edit: didnt mean it to sound like i was upset!!!

Sorry about that,I remember seeing that this morning but had actually forgot about that, sorry.

I took a different route then most of the othe Polk Owners did.I didnt have a lot of cash to get my speakers with.So I got a store credit card to HH Gregg(which is like a Best Buy except they only have around 150 stores)

So I paid $169.00 for my CS10.But honestly the CS10 is the exact same as the Polk CS1.
The only difference is on each side the CS center speakers have the piano black laquer finished end caps.

But if you dont have to have the end caps Newegg normally has the CS1 for around $70.00 which is more then 1/2 off what it costs at regular retailers.

You dont need to apologize Tals. We have been over that before i think!

The reason i ask is because i love the end caps! i think it looks awesome and also, i like black finishes.

They dont do it Very Often but on occasion NewEgg does put the CS10 and CS20 on sale for a lower price then they have now.

But just looking at their site I see they have the Polk CS10 for Only $119.00 with FREE Shipping.
Thats actually a really good price for that speaker.A lot less then the $149.00they have been selling them for during the summer.

Hi Mike!

That sounds like a good price for the CS10. It really is a looker with those Piano finish sides.

Actually its not a Sale Price it seems to be what they are selling them for at regular price.
They used to sell them for a higher price but they either have a large stock and want to move them.Or Polk dropped the price on the CS10 and its passing the savings off to the dealers like NewEgg.

So it shouldnt change prices at all unless it does go on sale then you may see it for $89.00.

But with the holidays coming speakers should really have some incredible prices around Thanksgiving until Christmas.
I am trying to wait until then to make some of my purchases.

And about 2 to 3 times a month Newegg will run a sale for the people who have signed up for their E-Mail Sales Ads.

I have seen the Monitor 50's go down to about $89.00 a piece as well. And the Monitor 40's were just on sale for $119.00 a pair.

So if you go to NewEggs website and sign up for their E-Mails they will send you the sales during the month. You wont see some of the sales items if you dont sign up.They will give you a special number you use to order the speakers on sale at the sales price.

They just had the Monitor 60's for $109 or $119 each and the CS2 for $99.00 each. They really have some prices that are impossible to beat at times.

Yeah i know what you mean. I have gotten Emails from them for a few years now. I was on a kick about making an awesome gaming rig at one point. i ordered maybe three things to start a build, but then i kinda lost the interest.

You will.
There have already been Blu Ray players on sale for as low as $99.00 so far this year. And I have a feeling on Black Friday and thee weeks afterwards you will probably see a couple of different Blu Ray Players for around $79.00(and maybe a little lower as one of the Big Draw In Items at Best Buy or Wal Mart for thier Black Friday Sale).

Thats where I got my Blu Ray Player was Best Buy on Black Friday.I ordered it online for in store pick up around 4AM Friday Morning.I got it for $169.00 plus tax, which wasnt too bad last year.

And Thankfully I havent come across a single Blu Ray that it wont play(knock on wood).

LOL yes, knock on that wood! Let me ask you: My parents dont own any Blu-Rays. I own all of them. They do however own many many DVDs. The reason I offered to buy them one is not only for their benefit but for mine as well! You see, they have a 52" LCD in the living room for all their tv watching and it is just wasting very good High Definition viewing!

Which Blu-ray Players would you recommend?

To be honest as far as entry level Blu Ray Players are concerned they are all almost made by the same company and just have different names on them.

Magnavox,Sylvania, and Insignia(Best Buy's line)are all made by Funai on the same line using the same components.

So besides a small difference here or there(like my Insignia has coaxial and optical digital outputs)where the other 2 have only coaxial and No optical digital outputs.

So if you get them a basic Blu Ray Player(which I would do since they arent looking to build a Home Theater).
And I have had NO Problems with my Blu Ray Player)you should make a good choice with any model you choose.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I was planning on waiting in line at best buy overnight for the black friday sales if they have a good one which they more then likely will.
