I'm not down with eco cases but thats not going to stop me from buying a movie. I replaced those cases with amaray cases anyways.

Why don't you just leave them where they are? They're not bothering anything. I've never once taken off the black square, there's no need to. Every time I see someone complain about the eco cases, I laugh out loud. They are an excellent case for Blu-rays, and these cases keep the discs safe and sound. What are people doing? Playing racquetball with the cases in their living rooms? My Blu-ray library, as anything valuable to me, is treated with lots of tender loving care. The eco cases do a fine job protecting the discs, there's no need to complain about them. And there is certainly no need at all to not buy a Blu-ray because it's in a eco case. That's just ridiculous.

Problem solved:

As others have mentioned, I too don't understand this level of OCD that actually prevents the purchase of a movie you would've bought otherwise. $1 to replace a case isn't a big enough deal and not worth getting upset over, imo.

Thank you, I won't complain anymore as I have to accept my copy of "The Silence of the Lambs" has already received a scratch and there is nothing I can do. I just have to pay an extra dollar for a new box (Don't know where to put the digi copy though).
I just wanted to warn people of the poor box on what is already an average movie.
Maybe it helped someone? maybe it didn't, just my $0.02 offer. okay?

How could it possibly get scratched when its in the case and sitting on a shelf AND it has an anti-scratch coating. Do you use your cases for carnival like knife throwing debauchery?

Glad to help

Seriously though, it does suck that we have to deal with these lame excuses of eco-friendly boxes that are actually just another way for companies to save a few more pennies (literally). I'm just saying that, for the most part it's an easy and cheap fix. The only problem comes when the disc has somehow become damaged or if the backside of the cover gets the stupid security sticker stuck to it. In those cases, I'd return the blu to the store and get a replacement. So far I've had to replace about half a dozen cases and it has been painless.

Just my $.03 contribution
