I actually love 'Sorority Row'. But, I like these run-of-the-mill horror films.

I forgot how fun this movie was. I don't get all the hate. It's an entertaining slasher that doesn't take itself too seriously. Lots of humor.

I'm watching this right now and I'm about 20 min into the movie.... The camera has been incredibly shakey and its almost hard to watch. Is it like this throughout the whole movie?

I never got the feeling it was "hard to watch". Its a bit shakey, but thats the style it was filmed.

As far as the movie goes, its amazing. It feels like a 90s horror movie with all that snappy, very witty, dialogue. Kinda like Scream. It's actually one of my favorite remakes.

Sorry to bump this thread, but I just bought a used copy of this, and to my surprise, when it showed up, it had a slipcover. I'm curious -- is this slip a rarity, or did a lot of copies come with it?

i really like this movie, but i wish it had subtitles
also i never noticed any shaky cam

Mine had a slipcover, I bought it right around the time it came out.

The slip wass everywhere when it got released, but is hard to find now. At least for me it has been, got a used copy without one and have been looking since (a few years now). It hurts that I refuse to pay for it, so I haven't checked the slipcover thread here, but I've found many other missing slips while looking for this and Doomsday.

There's pawn shop that will sell em to me for a buck, or a video store that will give them if asked nicely, but neither have these.

Mine had a slipcover. I bought it when it first came out.

Re-watched SR recently; this is a decent but low-budget C?! grade horror flick. It reminds me somewhat of I know what you did last Summer, and had many scenes that were unintentionally?! hilarious.

RIP Carrie Fisher. Kudos to her for her role in this movie as a tough den mother to a group of out-of-control sorority girls; seeing her in this film was amusing, especially given her role...she was rarely seen in movies outside of the iconic Star Wars films.

Every other holiday season or so, my GF and I watch Black X-mas (the original is yearly). Without fail, we expect Carrie Fisher to pop up, but she never does. So, off to IMDb, and we find out she's actually the den mother in this. And we've only seen SR once, long ago. So she left an impression!

I've always had a soft spot for this one. It's actually pretty good, especially for a slasher remake made at the time it was made. It's certainly eons ahead of something like the '08 version of Prom Night, which was just awful. Sorority Row had a sense of humor, and really played itself like an '80s slasher without being too self-congratulating.I should give it a re-watch here soon. I am a big fan of the original.

I'm hoping Josh Stolberg is still working on the sequel. Only thing I can find is him saying he's working on it from January.
