I just think its funny that the dude with the poster art for Cobra as his icon thinks that Running Man sucks. I mean thats fine and all, just kinda ironic. I on the other hand have enough room in my heart for bad Arnold and bad Sly movies.

"The Running Man" is so ahead of its time, it's not even funny. It predates a few movies in particular, as well as America's fascination with reality television.

they gave it 6-10 for Picture and Sound

They gave it 7 for picture/sound, they gave the movie a 6. Sounds fine to me, I'm not expecting miracles.

Actually, they gave it 7 out of 10. The 6 out of 10 was for the film itself.

IGN, has proven that they are the worst place to trust DVD and Blu-ray reviews. Just look at their review of the new Blu-ray of Stargate.

A new and great looking master was created for that release and they felt it was no better than the first edition. Anyone who has the new version, knows that that is not true. They are primarily a game site. Don't ever trust their reviews.

I don't think, The Running Man is going to look like Stargate, but it should still look better than the DVD. They may be more on target on this one, but I still wouldn't take what they say as religion. People in general, should have their own opinion and decide for themselves. Too much relying on site reviews.

It is also going to be a long time before we see this film receive a restoration and major remastering. If it wasn't done for this Blu-ray release, I wouldn't expect it anytime soon. Lionsgate, has yet to fully invest in major restoration work on any of their titles.

Have you seen Planet Terror on DVD and Blu? I'm not talking about buying a VHS tape but if you want to overpay for a substandard Blu then be my guest.

what does planet terror have to do with this?

and i paid 5 dollars for the (crappy) artisan dvd and the blu ray is only 13.99 so i have no problem double dipping. i see a 7 out of 10 as a 3.5-4 out of 5 by this sites rating scale so it sounds good to me
