Default What Blu-ray Are You Watching Now For The First Time?

For those multitaskers, lol. I am watching Alexander. Colin Ferrel is just too quirky for this role with his weird twitches, bleached hair and bizarre eye contact with his mega eyebrows.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind (Director's Cut).
I've seen the theatrical and special edition, so I don't know if this "technically" counts, but whatever the scenes are in a different order so in my eyes it counts, haha.

Here's a shocker for you, the British Rocker and the chick with the great freckles that Jack is into, Kate, are an item in real life! Or at least they were. Love truly is blind.

Default finally getting around too....

I decide to blind buy Braveheart this week since it was on sale and I've heard that is was very good from reviewers and my mom who has been in love with Mel Gibson for decades. Hopefully I will have time to watch it this weekend since it's about 3 hours long. As far as Close encounters of the third kind goes, I wasn't really impressed. With the film itself that is. I saw it a couple of months ago for the first time on HDNET. Thought it was kinda boring for the most part.

Yeah, if you like it, watch The Patriot with Mel, another historical movie that is more closer to what really happened (the Smithsonian advised on the movie, a first).

Close Encounters is amazing for the visual effects, very advanced for the time. And it has Spielberg's sense of childlike wonder of the unknown.

I remember those days! I wish I could go back to experience it for the first time all over again! Such a fantastic show...

For me, tonight, I am watching 'Sunshine' on BD. I actually somehow missed this movie and have never seen it in theaters, SD, or BD, so I am really excited especially based on the reviews of the movie itself, and the PQ and AQ. Pretty big fan of Danny B, too, so I am sure I will enjoy it.

I will be watching Wizard of Oz on Blu Ray this weekend. Of course I've seen the movie, but never on Blu.

Alexander is so horrid, I will have to watch Wedding Crashers after to cleanse out the bad movie. I will say that Angelina Jolie looks pretty good in this movie. But that won't carry it. I am hoping The Spartans 300 comes over a hill and kills all these sucky actors FOR SPARTA!

Well, no 300 yet and I had to be exposed to Alexander making out with his boyfriend.

I think they should have called Alexander, Caligula, the Prequel.

You are right, the next scene had Phillip raping a boy at a party. Makes me wonder if Val had read the script before signing on, lol.
