Huh? Emerich just blew up the whole world. TWICE. 2012 and Day after Tomorrow. ID4 and Godzilla?

Cameron just blew up Pandora. Previously blowing up buildings etc in space and Terminator.

Speilberg blew up the world in War of the Worlds, Saving Private Ryan, Indy, Empire of the Sun.

Nolan blew up a hospital in TDK

settle down squid!!!

i said off the top of my head....which doesn't always have a lot in it anyway!!! AND....i haven't seen avatar yet!!

and to everyone else....what can i say, i like 'splosions!!!

it does take a special someone to enjoy bay's films, i just happen to fit the bill and really enjoy his movies.....except pearl harbor, that did nothing for me.

as far as cut scenes being so quick, one movie that game me a really bad headache was Quantum of Solace....in the beginning.

i personally don't think bay's are quite that bad.....one thing i will put a mild complaint in is in transformers, it seemed like the transformers came into the scene and went out just as quickly while fighting.

I love Nolan's work and think he is great at his job.

But using Batman Begins as a credit to his ability to shoot action is not a good idea

The fight sequences in that movie (at least the group fights) were terrible.

At the beginning when Bruce says he fought 7 and Ducard says 6, I honestly didn't know because you can't see ****.

I think Bay is great at imagining, setting up and filming action sequences most of the time. He just gets a little speed happy with the editing of them. Transformers 2's final fight was his worst imo.
