This show is better than I remember, may have to start watching it regularly and/or look into getting the first two seasons in HD.

Here's a preview of that here and a more in-depth one here.
Quoting myself here, has anybody tried this gaming site yet?

I signed up last night. It's pretty cool. The Starfighter game is wicked. Hard though. It's basically a 3D (controlled pre-set path) shooter like the old 1942 video game. There's also a Tower Defense game. 3D lightsaber duel game. You use the arrow keys in a like a "Simon Says" fashion to initate moves. Like, Left, Left, Up, Down, etc. Speeder Bike race game. That's even cool. And a bunch more.

The game site itself is basically a MMPOG type environment. You create your avatar and you walk around a virtual world in a building in Coruscant where you can spend credits you earn playing games buying equipment, etc.

However, only a couple levels of each game are free. The rest you have to buy a membership. (They call it "Become a Jedi Master") Starts at $5/month or $50 for the life-time of the game. But it gives you access to the enitre game system. But then again, some items are only available with "Station Money" which you then also have to chuck up even more through PayPal. I guess it's like Premium Credits. But these are only needed for avatar related things.

But the cool thing is that the servers keep adding new stuff as the series goes on. Like just from the time I signed up yesterday to later that night, they added a new Premium Clone Trooper uniform.

I think I'll sign up for the Jedi Master membership, at least just to unlock all the gaming chapters. Then if the game prooves to be really worthwhile, might spend a little to get the premium credits.

It seems to be getting better with every new season. This season they seem to be going all out.

Too bad they didn't do stuff like this before the prequels came out, although admittedly the animation probably wouldn't have been as good.

Ok, haven't seen this posted on any of the forums yet, and I may be wrong, but I could have sworn I saw Cyborg Maul in the Season 3 preview. Been trying to find the clip, but no luck.

Edit: Nevermind!

Glad to hear it. I enjoyed those first two episodes as well. Assassin was also pretty spectacular. The chronology still continues to annoy the hell out of me, but otherwise it's been pretty solid.

And next week... Quinlan Vos!

season 3 has been REALLY bad so far. Season 1 was great, season 2 was as good maybe better except for the whole Pacifist Mandalorian story line. This season has been nothing but filler crap for the most part and boring filler at that. Ziro the hutt is absolutely abysmal and if this season doesn't start picking up I'll just sell my first 2 seasons on blu and give up on the show

I'm not watching this any more. They've managed to make a series, that could thrive on Jedi's, Clones and ships battling, exceptionally boring. Maybe Lucas should have held on to Genndy Tartakovsky.

Damn! I remember those! Samurai Jack meets Star Wars. Yeah, he should definitely not have left Star Wars. Have you seen his new show? Filoni is pwn'ing Tartakovsky in the ratings.

I was considering watching this from the beginning, but was curious if you have to be a hardcore SW fan to follow the series. I have seen all of the movies, but probably no more than once and it's been years, so I didn't know if I would be lost, or if this is more of a kids show with very simple stories. I saw a preview the other day, but didn't know if there was much violence or really what to expect and I didn't want to scan this thread and end up spoiling anything big just in case.

I'm not a hardcore Star Wars person, but I've enjoyed this series alot. I own both seasons 1 & 2 on blu ray.. I've only watched a few episodes of the 3rd season, but I usually wait til it arrives on blu ray so I can watch it without any interruptions.

It's surprisingly a very mature show for a cartoon series. It's sort of a mix of a procedural and serial show. And it really goes into detail on what happens during episodes 2 and 3 of the Star Wars movies. Plus the show looks great and the action is very good. I also think the cartoon series is much better than any of the prequels.

So to answer your question, I don't think you have to be a hardcore Star Wars fan to enjoy the show.

Not just the prequels but the whole saga, IMO. Wonderful mix of story and action. Would love to see a show like this that takes place between EP's III and IV showing Anakin/Vader more.

Well of course GL is planning this live-action series that'll be set between III and IV, but it's taking forever to get off the ground.

Apparently it's been put on hold because Lucas can't get the scripts to work with the budget he has, $1 million per episode.

One would argue that with all the money he has he could up the budget, but there still needs to be a limit and he also needs to took at the financial side of it.

I suspect we won't get it until 2013 based on what's happening with it.

As for the Clone Wars, well I love it and I especially like the newly designed models for Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka, because they're much more refined and closer to the look of Revenge of the Sith.

I agree with that... puts the entire saga to shame.

New trailer for the second half of season 3. From what I'm hearing, the next three upcoming episodes (the Savage Opress trilogy that's been screening all over the country) is really going to blow our minds. And Filoni's promised an end to the political arcs that have been slowing the third season down.
