Word. They filmed this in my town. Best part about it was them giving restaurants money to upgrade. Makes me sad to see Ving Rhames and the guy from Sliders in such terrible movies.

Movie will be utter crap.

I guess there trying to get the crowd that went watching Final Destination, Well they won't do that if it's not in 3D

Apparently they also moved it because they wanted to get out of the way of Kick-Ass

I just care about the Joe Dante original, seem like Corman sell the rights to those classics every few years or so, first Concorde New Horizon, then Buena Vista, and now Shout Factory. Piranha had a great "B" cast which included Paul Bartell, Dick Miller, Barbara Steele, Bradford Dillman, Heather Menzies, Keenan Wynn and Kevin McCarthy.

Alexandre Aja updating the b-movie classic in 3D? Come on! This just screams fun. Words like "bomb" and "suck" shouldn't even be an issue for a film like this. It's the type of movie that never pretends to be something it's not. I for one am disappointed by this news.

That's been the trend in Hollywood for decades. Make a film that raises the bar, and you have a bunch of garbage to follow. How many Star Wars/Alien rip offs have we've come accross in the 80s?

Then you have "Jurassic Park" which was a CGI feast, followed by a bunch of garbage in which their movie trailers and TV commercials showed all of the CGI that was to be displayed in the film, thus walking out of the theater looking Perplexed.

I watched about 30 minutes of "Transmorphers" with my son this weekend, and talk about "read between the lines". The script read, "We don't have enough money to make a decent CGI character, so we will have as much dialogue as possible to eat up the time".

Damn Harvey really needs to cut this shit out and sell the company to someone who knows what they are doing. And this movie no longer in 3-D? Lol, that was the only reason to see it, this is gonna gross like $500k W2G numb nuts.

Default Piranha 3D (2010)

On set photos (five), features gore so I thought I better add spoiler tags.

[Show spoiler]

Judging by the first pic I see the Cat in the Hat is going to be making a special guest appearance?

See thats the thing. I want it to be a serious film. I dont like to many horror/comedy films. There are exceptions but this could actually be a scary film if they took it serious. Guess well see. Got Em!!

You mean Sharks, sharks with frickin' laser beams. Although Mike Myers would have to feature then.

I was lucky enough to see a full-on 3D trailer for this before Avatar (any truth to the rumor that this is going out in 2D only?) and it definitely looks like a horror/comedy.

It will still probably be intense since Aja is the director

I beat you to it, KaiGusto.

It's probably not going to be in 3D anymore. So, F*** HARVEY WEINSTEIN!

Yeah I did search for 'Piranha' before I posted but nothing turned up. A Mod might merge them.
