Hey, you never know, it could be more Armageddon than Solaris.

It's still my most anticipated film of the year.

I'd be far more excited if it wasn't Clooney. Still I'm interested.

It'll be like a prequel/sequel/remake to Soderbergh's Solaris

The original is great. I never watched the Soderbergh version, though looking at the credits I do like Natascha McElhone quite a bit

hmmmmm...after watching the trailer I have to say that this does not look very good. At least not very exciting. I like big epic ideas over smaller more intimate things like this.
I love children of men (just got the Blu and watched it and its easily a 9.5 or 10/10 film) but I cannot believe this is Cuaron's first film in 7 years. Looks like something that another major director would knock out a year or 2 after another work.

Also I like Clooney but I really dont like Bullock so I wont be looking forward to this and will wait until Dollar theater or video.

Also this movie already looks to be another huge bomb for WB this year. I dont see audiences going for this

Thematically, possibly. It looks a lot more action-orientated that Solaris was, though, at this stage.

I'm glad Warner Bros. is taking risks where other studios aren't; between this and Pacific Rim, I'm hoping they make huge amounts back and continue funding projects that are slightly less mainstream in the future.

Gotta say, the trailer didn't do much for me. I'm sure I'll see it at some point, but it's low on the anticipation/priority list.

I feel the same way, IMO all I see is Sandra Bullock and George Clooney floating around in a green screen.

Oh wow, looks great, but a trailer can't do justice to the long takes that will be in the film. I bet it will be absolutely disorienting & powerful on a big screen.

I feel the exact opposite. This looks like something I will love and will be counting the days until I get to see it.

This. Exactly. It is a teaser trailer, it obviously can't do full justice to what I expect to see in IMAX come October.

Do long takes seem all that impressive when they seem to be primarily CGI based?

This was a good teaser, and finally great to see some footage of this thing after so long. I'm still annoyed by the Bullock casting, as I don't like her and don't think she can carry a film solely by herself for 2 hours.

The teaser seemed to condense the first 30 minutes into 90 seconds.

A good teaser, but is that all what the film is going to be about?

When it's in the right hands, that could be more than enough.

This teaser looks promissing, it might be the best trailer I saw this year The whole idea of floating in space scares the crap out of me - psychological.
