DEFYING GRAVITY - What a great show! - Blu-ray Forum

Just finished watching this great new show and was a little peeved to discover it has been cancelled. After the dramatic season finale of landing on Venus and retrieving the Gamma alien artifact I would have loved to have gone on the journey to the other planets to see what other mysteries awaits the astronauts. Any chance another network will be picking this up?

Too bad it got canceled here in the states after a few shows and just when it was getting good...the last episode that aired over here was when all the crew members on the ship opened the cargo door and saw what they were carrying on board...

I liked it alot its just took too long to reveal stuff...in a few episode you would get more of a back story than the present.

But I don't get why people complain it was taking too long? Anyone ever seen Lost? That show is horrible for revealing anything at all

I made a Spotify playlist of the key songs featured on the show, available here (click). I didn't include the country-western songs that were only played in Major Tom's tavern.

And hopefully everyone who was a fan of the drama already read these two articles by Keith McDuffee, which tell the rest of the story that went unfilmed.

Oh wow! So you're the other 4 people who know about this show. I checked the DVD out at my local library a few years back. Had pretty low expectations, but I ended up binge-watching the whole season over 2 days. I actually really liked it, and the finale left me wanting more. Outside of Trek, BSG, and Stargate, most attempts at space-themed shows tend to bite it fairly early on, though it's nice at least knowing how it would have progressed. (RIP forever, Firefly).

Yeah I figure in another parallel universe Defying Gravity ran two seasons, and was well-liked by critics who WEREN'T burnt-out by Lost. It was sooo good. I liked Laura Harris from Dead Like Me - I think that was why I checked it out in the first place. But everyone on the show was great, and it was a huge ensemble cast.

I just added a playlist of the songs played at the tavern in the show, here.

It would be neat if Spotify said how many people checked it out. There might be more than 6 of us who enjoyed it.

I guess it is too early to hope for a reboot. (That'll never happen).

I have watched it and felt sad when they canceled this. As any other good scifi show. Im always sad when they do that.

Defying Gravity was cute. Now we have Mars but...I prefer Venus. Anyway The Expanse is here to stay so...

Still its a show i miss. And dont forget the strong cast:
