Sounds like you may be the winner CZAR if Shutter Island doesn't pull it out

You would have 1 more point than I do (which I think me and a few others would have 10 points before the tie breaker of being closest to the #1 amount).

Edit: Whoops, my mistake.

If Shutter Island losses to Brooklyn, you would have got 1,2 and 3 right. If it beats it, I would have 1, 2 and 4.

So if Shutter Island losses you have 11 and I have 7. If it wins I have 10 and you have 5.

I am almost tempted to post that Stewie anger pic from the Barbie.

These are the likely going to be the top guesses (unless Finke's numbers are way off...then I just wasted my time typing this):

Bold - Will definitely be right

Underlined - Might end up being right

Its numbers will be helped by the 3D ticket prices.

2. Shutter Island - $13.7M
It declined about 45% last weekend, but I don't think it will decline quite as much this weekend. It'll drop 40% imo.

4. Cop Out - $8M
I don't think this one will hold that well. About a 55% drop.
I didn't see Chaotic's post at first. He could end up with 4 out of 5

If Shutter Island tops Brooklyn, the top 4 are

Chaotic
CHERRYGARCIA
Jeffrow
Diesel

I would be tied with Cherry and Jeffrow but didn't put a high enough estimate for Alice and lose the tie breaker. Cherry wins the tie breaker

If Brooklyn wins the top 2 are

CZAR
Sussudio

Well I was right, it looks like Avatar pulled in that $3.6M on Saturday

Shutter Island and Brooklyn's Finest are going to be a close fight for 2nd
That one did much better than I expected it too, especially with a good bit lower theater count the most of the other movies.

Avatar slipped more than I expected, I was off by $3M for it and $1M for Cop Out. Looks like I'll be right on the money for Shutter Island and The Crazies (but it won't finish in the spot I thought it would with Brooklyn's Finest doing so well).

We all missed Alice by quite a bit

So, I got the #1 right (but wasn't the closest, I think someone said $75M), might get #2 right if Shutter Island edges out Brooklyn's Finest and will get #4 right.
Well that blew my 50 mill estimate out of the water

I think BOM works backwards in putting up their numbers but they have Alice in as having the 6th highest weekend ever at $116 mil. Here's a link to that.

Alice #6

BOM says Brooklyn edged out Shutter for the estimates.

But it is only a $200K difference, now we wait for the actuals

Alice - $116.3M
Brooklyn $13.5M
Shutter Island - $13.3M
Cop Out - $9.145M
Avatar - $7.7M
The Crazies - $7.016M

I go skiing for the weekend and now I'm finding out Alice made 116 million opening weekend in March for God's sake. That is insane.

Since the second place estimates between Brooklyn's Finest ($13.5 million) and Shutter Island and ($13.3 million) so close I will wait until the actuals are released tomorrow to announce the top three spots in The Box Office Game.

Wow, good job. I only got the #1 spot right. It seems as if you mess up the #2 spot, it's easy to screw up the rest...
