Based on all the pilots I was looking forward to and how many have turned out to be huge disappointments, I no longer worry that my DVR won't have the room.

Yeah I usually would not have this problem but I do not feel proper watching shows like Sons of Anarchy and Fringe when my 9 month old son is in the room so they sit on the DVR til me and my wife get a chance to watch them during his sleepy time.

9 months? I could understand if he was 5, but really? His age demographic is represented on SOA.

Once Lone Star is bumped, I wish they'd move Fringe to Monday's. Whichever idiot decided to leave it on Thursday's where it struggled all last year needs to be fired. I have a feeling Human Target will be switched to Lone Star's lot though.

Also, fringe scored a 2.1. Welcome to the orange my dear friend.
Fringe didn't do very well last season and it still got renewed (pretty early renewal actually), so I'm not worried yet. They know it's in a very tough time slot.

i thought "raising hope" was hilarious.

Outlaw and Lone Star have been let-downs so far.

Also "Community" is an awesome show, is that really on the verge?

Some tentative renewals, such as ordering just another 13 episodes, rather than a full 22, are done out of necessity. In the aftermath of the Writers Strike, pilot season for 2008 was affected, so there wasn't enough in development that could be greenlit fast enough. This is why shows such as Reaper, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Pushing Daisies and Life managed to stay on the air as long as they did.

Raising Hope
Outlaw
Lone Star
Community

Community's numbers where about the same as last season, I wouldn't about it yet.

I've said it like a million times. Fringe is the best show that nobody is watching. Next weeks episode looks awesome and will still only pull in a 2.3 I bet.

How can Blue Bloods be on the edge of cancellation when it premiered to 12.8 million viewers and up 22% over where Numbers premiered in the same time slot last year?

I put them in the wrong spot.

anywho, I've had to do this all myself. TVbythenumbers.com hasn't done Jack for their R/C.

Ok, I was wondering if that was the case. Yeah, I looked all over the tvbythenumbers and couldn't find this years index. I used it all the time last year but nothing so far. Wonder why not.

Can't argue with that, even if I would put Chuck ahead of it. They are my top two favorite shows and neither one does very good in the ratings. Kinda sad, but as long as they stay on the air, I'm happy.

Well, that's disappointing about Lone Star. I figured that it wouldn't have a chance in that time slot, but thought maybe it could do a little better. I was surprised with how bad the Event and Chase were, but I liked Undercovers. I hope Fox moves Fringe to the Lone Star spot, since I don't watch Fringe anyways (I tried but am not into it, but agree that it is a good show) and I like Human Target and hate to see it get destroyed in that Monday slot.

I posted a full breakdown one author did on what would take it's place and basically his best case scenario for FOX would be moving Human Target into that spot.

Look at it this way. Ride Along will be on a lot quicker.

Ride Along will be brought in sooner when they cancel Lone Star? I thought that was a dead set mid-season premiere?

I think the most likely scenario is Human Target will move to Monday's. That or Fringe to Monday's and Human Target to Thursday's.

Here's that article I was mentioning before:

Quote:
What Should Fox Do?

It’s easy to say all other Fox shows are options, but realistically they are not. Fox isn’t going to screw with its Sunday night line up and based on one week of data there’s no chance it will mess with its Tuesday night or Wednesday night line up either. That rules out Glee, Hell’s Kitchen and the new sitcoms and leaves you only with only the Thursday or Friday shows or perhaps bringing Lie To Me off the bench sooner (its schedule to premiere Wednesdays beginning November 10).

I don’t see Fox moving Bones. House and Bones would be an awesome combo in my opinion as a viewer, but as a scheduler it’s more complex. Fox’s goal with Thursdays was to improve Thursdays, and last year it did. Bones proved to be a pretty decent anchor for the night and isn’t lead-in dependent. Of course Fox could always move Bones to Mondays at 8pm and switch House to 9pm, but that effectively is throwing in the towel on Thursdays. I don’t see that happening.

Fringe is lead-in dependent and would likely benefit from the move. I know Fox loves it some JJ Abrams as much as the next guy, but I’m not sure if it really is interested in propping up Fringe.

It’s easy to say that Fox favors Fringe over Human Target, but it might simply be the case that Fox was looking at Thursdays and happy with the relative year over year improvement last year and just didn’t want to mess with it.

It seems easier to simply move Human Target to Mondays at 9pm and see how it does. If you move Fringe, you are screwing with the schedule on three nights, at least if you assume Lone Star would initially move to Fridays displacing a Friday show that would likely move to Thursdays if you just moved Fringe. That’s a quite a bit of early jockeying.

Of course, Lone Star as a lead-in isn’t going to help The Good Guys much, but The Good Guys was not destined for greatness (and I can’t see any chance of it moving to Monday nights). If you’re going to throw in the towel, throwing it in on Friday makes more sense than Mondays or Thursdays. And whether you flip-flop the time slot for The Good Guys doesn’t matter much.

My guess is Human Target takes Lone Star’s slot. A case can be made for Lie to Me but if you do that, you’re screwing with the Wednesday schedule beginning in November.
