I wouldn't blind buy these if I were you. Jean Rollin is most definitely NOT for all tastes. Some people find his films hallucinatory, hypnotic, and atmospheric. Others find them to be boring, amateurish trash. I suggest you rent or download The Grapes of Death (his most accessible film), Fascination, and The Living Dead Girl to see if his films are your cup of tea. If they are, then by all means buy the Blu-rays!

I just read a review for Lips of Blood on another site & it has me intrigued. I'm not familiar with the director or any of his previous work, however I'm a fan of anything involving vampires & great cinematography so these sound right up my alley

I would LOVE Franco on Blu-ray. That's a good question.... I wonder who has rights to the films, myself. If I'm not mistaken, all the previous DVD editions of Vampyros Lesbos are out of print, aren't they?

I'm getting all 5 of these. Not too crazy about the cover art though--what are the chances someone here will post their own custom cover art using the original movie poster art and getting rid of that overbearing redemption logo? I have zero talent for such things.

Anybody think these will be in store at bestbuy? Because if so I'm going to cancell my preorder and just get it there with the $5 coupon.

That is to ORDER into the Store only. Meaning they will order it for you to pick up in the store. It is misleading. Compare that to a title like License to Drive which lets you check store stock and notice the difference on how they are listed Fascination with the BOLD in RED font.

Perhaps. It depends on your patience level and your tolerance for sex and atmosphere. I have found that, on the whole, Rollin's films are much more entertaining and competent than the majority of Jess Franco's work, but the only Rollin film I would recommend without reservations is The Grapes of Death. The others are probably not the best films to blind buy. Personally, I am a big fan!
