26 Blu-ray titles in the top 100... I'm impressed.

Only 2 HD DVD titles are in the top 100 titles... Transformers and Planet Earth.

hd dvd is going to get pwned this week. those boys are going to be full of excuses come next friday (not this one). I can see it now, "we would of won but you guys got a sale!" so here are the defenses, "well how come uni or para didn't counter with a sale, could it be because they aren't COMMITTED members in their format and are simply there for payoffs." "you guys got a sale, a 150 million dollar movie studio exclusive support sale."

I'm simply amazed how this Buy 1 get 1 Free has played out.

I figured it would impact a little, but not this much.

I myself purchased POTC 1 , The Prestige, Invincible and Deja Vu today at BB because of it.

It makes you wonder if this will have an impact on Sony and Disney marketing in the future. After seeing what this is doing, I wonder if they'll rethink pricing in general slightly.

I think it does show you that if they drop the prices more sell and it's obvious blu-ray is the popular choice of the masses.

Thumbs up POTC 1 & 2 both BEAT DOWN Transformers at Amazon!

Mission Accomplished!!!

No really...POTC 1 & 2 Bluray are ranked at #5 and #6 on Amazon's DVD sales ranking, followed by Transformers HDDVD.

This is what I like to call...hmmm...

THE ULTIMATE SMACKDOWN!!!

Info based on FormatWar website at http://www.eproductwars.com/dvd at 4:35pm U.S. Mountain Time on Monday 10/15/2007.

I can hear the pencils snap at the HD-DVD HQ from here. Doh, $150 million down the drain.

Paramount must be laughing. Pocket the $150 mill now, let HD-DVD die over Christmas and sell another 200-500K on BD when contracts expire.

Let's not cheer too much yet. It officially comes out tomorrow. A lot of folks may pick it up in the store and we may loose the edge we had today.
