I just expected much more from revolution because of the ads for the new series made it sound interesting. After the pilot episode, at least for me, the episodes just seemed to lose that "interest" factor. I've enjoyed a lot of TV shows and I expect a new series to keep me engaged in the characters and the story. While the premise of the story was an interesting one, it simply has failed to live up to expectations.

I don't know, the characters on the show seem to always be whining or complaining about something and that without the Miles character, this series would be doomed.

But, while the second and third episode of Last Resort have been somewhat weak, it has enough to keep me coming back because of the "conspiracy theory" regarding the orders that the crew received that ended up with that attack on Pakistan. I think "The Unit" suffered some similar problems during the first season but Shawn Ryan managed to pull the series through for four seasons. I'm hoping that the next few episodes will kick things up a notch.

It is doing quite well after it airs (DVR playback and such), which ABC is touting to spin the ratings. It's not in danger yet, especially since the ratings drop was minimal.

Agreed, although nothing has happened yet. It would be pretty shitty if he did do something though, especially since his wife was such a big deal to him in the Pilot.

They cant sell commercial time based on Live + 7. It is a positive spin tho. Hey, lots of people r recording this so come watch r show. Let me tell u my spin...if lots of people record it at 8pm on Thursday it means people r watching the other channels live (X-F and BBT most likely) cause people dont go out on Thursday. That tells me if they moved it to a softer night those fans might watch it live instead of making the second or third choice.

I know that it doesn't help their bottom line, and I know it was a spin for the sake of spinning things. The success of it beyond when it airs could help get it renewed if they think like you did with your last sentence though.

I'll just continue to watch Last Resort and see how things go.

Looks like the series is shaping up nicely. With the events that are sure to take in Episode 5, looks like Shawn Ryan is starting to set the tone for the series. Same thing happened with The Unit, where the first few episodes started out a bit slow, and then kicked into high gear. This series is here to stay.

Agreed. This week's was my favorite so far as well. Getting the two women to work together was definitely a plus, and the mission was intense. I was also glad that Grace's father shot that woman. I know that sounds cruel, but I think she deserved it.

I wish the Admiral had somehow been left on the island. I also thought it was a wonderful ep. Of course, like anything I enjoy, the rating went down again.

I don't think that this series will get canceled. It's still getting some decent ratings and ABC recently ordered two new scripts for the series, bringing the first series up from 13 to 15 episodes for the first season. ABC is not as trigger happy to cancel shows as NBC, SyFy and many other networks are.

If the series was in danger of being canceled, they would not have ordered two more episodes for the first season. After all, they stuck it out with Missing, which was another great series.

Course a real vote of confidence would have been ordering the back nine. i enjoy the show a lot but I really dont think ABC is happy is happy with its numbers.

I just love how the haters come out to slam these shows based on their numbers. The Last Resort is actually doing pretty well for a new series. The ratings and viewers, while low, are averaging half of the ratings that Shawn Ryan's previous series, The Unit, brought in during its first season. ABC is actually looking at the number of viewers and I think we'll eventually start seeing better numbers, as well as a full season ...
