A Christmas Story was one of my favorite movies. I never even knew they were doing a sequel

I am a huge fan of the original to the point of visiting the actual home where it was filmed and I am strangely excited for this. As soon as I found it was not a reboot I decided to at least give it a chance. I know it won't be as good as the original, but Daniel Stern is funny enough to justify a blind buy. Not a finga!

Someone (that's me) has in fact seen every episode. Someone else (that's you) didn't get the joke. Lighten up...

Does this "movie" even have a plot? I can't seem to find the storyline anywhere (not that I'm even remotely intrigued).

I will boycott this movie for sure.

"Direct-To-Video" is rarely a term associated with "Quality," but is more often linked to the term, "Really Blows". I think I'll skip this one, also.

Sounds like a classic (from http://www.ohio.com/blogs/heldenfile...yup-1.327270):

Quote:
When 15 year-old Ralphie accidentally wrecks his dream car before even getting it off the lot, he and his friends Flick and Schwartz band together to raise the money to fix it by Christmas Eve – before the car dealer reports the incident to the police. They all get their (first!) jobs, but run into trouble at every turn. When things look most bleak, Ralphie finds the true meaning of Christmas with the help of his family and his friends.
While I'm pretty sure this will be, uh, not great (serious understatement), I might consider NetFlixing it. We watch a lot of Christmas movies and it's nice to watch something different once in a while.

She has absolutely mastered that face. I've seen about 50 or so pictures of her the last couple days and even when she's happy, it's basically the same look.

In regards to the movie, this is almost as bad an idea as the Karate Kid remake.

2nded on Goodfellas being "A Christmas Story with Gangsters"!

Both of them even have hilarious dining scenes.

Why is "The Official Sequel" in the title of the movie?

Compared to a not official sequel?

Apparently I had this really bad look on my face while I was watching it when my Pops walked by. When he asked me what was wrong I could only reply with "everything". It looks awful. Poor Daniel Stern

Do they really need to make this cheap sequel and advertise it as an "official sequel"? This movie looks horrible and to pair it with the original is an insult. And a Christmas movie in October? I guess they are trying to pass it as a horror film cause the trailer alone scared me.
