I think it's more the case that people have been clamoring for a re-release of the UC for ages now.

And the fact that the Ultimate Cut Blu-ray sells for crazy money on Ebay. So it makes sense.

I really love the look of this Watchmen collectors edition box set. My only concern is that it might include extended scenes showing Doctor Manhattan's immense blue veiner.

The Watchmen is a great film, but there truly was no need to show his supersized penis flopping around.

It's not like his blue manhood is stuck in your face very often. And it is comic accurate. At least it wasn't 3-D.

It showcases his disconnect with humanity. That he's so detached that he doesn't care about walking around nude.

I owned the Ultimate Cut a while back but evidently sold it... Even though I have the Director's Cut, this looks to be an extremely awesome collector's edition. Must have.

I don't think I'd like watching Watchmen with a cartoon cut into it, does it edit into it well?

That's "supersized"?

To you, maybe.

Just call me Tiny.

Seriously, this is one box set I am drooling over. I thought the Titanic UCE box looked hot until I saw this one.

Bah. Y'all didn't see Manhattan's todger on the biggest screen in Britain (BFI IMAX). Everything looks massive on there.

As for this new set, it's about time. I recently bought the UE on DVD because I gave up on ever getting the BD for a reasonable price, so naturally the BD re-release was bound to follow soon after.

Michael Bay Fan: If you're suggesting that I am drooling over Doctor Manhattan's pulsating blue "flesh tongue depressor" and that I'm all set for a round of tonsil boxing, well you're totally mistaken.

On my display shelf I have several Watchmen releases:

Doctor Manhattan mask/BD case edition
Rorschach mask/BD case edition
Night Owl edition
Watchmen The Ultimate Cut
Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter
plus the regular BD and the Futureshop steelbook

Yeah, I am a fan. This is why the Watchmen UCE titillates me so much. And it has absolutely nothing to do with Doctor Manhattan's throbber.
I hope you don't find that hard to swallow.

Where can you order this from? Only have the Dr. Manhatten head Blu-ray. Really interested in the Ultimate Cut AND reading the graphic novel. That's actually a great price, for me, anyway as a big fan. Never seen the Director's Cut either

BINGO.

I don't see why occasional shots of his penis is anything to stress about. It's human anatomy. Countless movies will show a woman's breasts, but an occasional non-erect penis sets off the Puritanical alarm bells like no other. On top of that, if you don't think they need to show it, then you are entirely missing the point of why they are showing it.

I always wanted the Ultimate Cut. Maybe if they re-release it without the book at a decent price I'd get it. I already have the graphic novel, so this package is redundant for me.

As far as I know, it's going to be sold everywhere (in the U.S.)
