Arrietty not getting a nomination was the more surprising of the two. Nothing against Rise of the Guardians though. I'm blind buying it. It's just that The Secret World of Arrietty is considered to be a movie on the same level as everything else that was nominated.

They seem to always leave one off though. I still remember Tangled not being nominated, which was ridiculous.

The 3d review is up. 4.5 is a great score, but considering his review claiming it one of the best 3d discs on blu, I wonder what the 1/2 point deduction is for? He does not cite ANY negatives to the transfer at all.

EDIT: Nevermind. Just read the 2d review and it sounds like there is some slight banding/shimmering which I assume is what the deduction is for.

Paramount just tweeted this. No word on the recall yet?

Most likely due to limited stock. When Guardians first when up there was no mentioned of the two hopping eggs but then customers who preordered early on, including myself, received an email stating that they would be receiving the version with the two hopping eggs. Clicking on the link for that item led customers to a page stating that there was limited stock and that version was no longer available. However, there was a link to a new product page for the non-two hopping egg version. The two hopping egg version eventually came back, I'd assume Amazon was able to get more stock, but they probably ran out of their allocated units at this time.

A source at Paramount has stated the the wind-up piece pops out very easily and can be a chocking hazard. More info to follow when he announces this info on Monday March 11, 2013 (1 day before the official release). This is the news I got when I asked a good source of mine at Paramount Distributing. Not sure if that includes the Canadian stores
Interesting. My copy just shipped yesterday.

Sorry to report that issue with the hopping egg edition, my source is not as reliable as I thought. Received my edition Today with the hopping eggs and tried to pull the winder apart and it did not break, so I'm going to go with
rdodolak reply and say limited stock also. Since the site says Limited Edition here in Canada.

I just have to say that I think the release schedule of this film is pure genius, being themed for both Christmas and Easter, with its theatrical premiere at the holiday season, and its home video premiere around Easter.

Can't wait to get it and watch it again. One of last year's best animated features. Thrilling, touching and entertaining. One of Dreamworks stronger efforts!

Got mine in the mail today!

I redeemed UV code 1st. I always redeem thru the movie studio, as opposed to on flixster/vudu.
Got an HDX copy.

For iTunes, there was a different url to type in and insert the same code used for the UV.
I did that and the website told me the code was already used

I opened up iTunes and directly redeemed the code, it went right thru and downloaded an HD copy that also shows up on my jailbroken Apple TV 2 as an HD digital copy

How do you redeem through the studio? I was playing around and trying to redeem one code through Warner Bros and couldn't find it. Thanks

Just got mine in the mail.
Slightly miffed because the two hooping eggs came in a box sticker taped to the Blu-ray. Trying to carefully pull the tape off was pointless (for me), made a slight "ehh" tear on the slipcover, but I guess it's no biggie.

I heard there are versions where movie cash is being included. I just grabbed my copy from Best Buy and do not see anything advertising movie cash in the box. What versions / stores are doing the movie cash? I think the movie cash is for Croods.

Sorry if this was previously discussed, but was the 3D combo pack ever listed with a release date of 3/15? I swore I saw that on this site last week, which I thought was wierd since that would have meant a Friday release?

Just finished watching my copy. I loved it even more this time around than my initial theater viewing. I enjoyed this every bit as much as Wreck It Ralph. It's a bummer so few seem inclined even now to give it a shot, if the lack of interest in this thread is any indicator. So be it, it can join Dragon Hunters on the short list of top notch underrated animated flicks that I can continue to share.

Some of you are really missing out by skipping this one.

Why does it matter now if it's already out
