I'm in a TCM mood this week because of the BD announcement of TC3D, so I threw in the 2003 remake. I really enjoyed this time around. It's very well directed imo. It's sad to think that Rob Zombie's Halloween is more "white trash" than TCM.

I thought that remake was pretty bad especially where they chop of leatherface arm like really that was pretty bad and stupid in my opinion. I think the best ones in the series is the Original and Part 2. I will check out the New one when it comes out but I am not expecting much.

A lot of people hated the new one, but I really liked it. It's my 2nd favorite behind the the original.

The 40th anniversary is next year...so probably not. Though I'm sure it will get released again (but next year).

I'm happy with the current release of the original. It has some great docs on it too. If you're a fan, it's a worthy purchase.

Also, regarding TC3D, I loved the intro how it tied right into the original.

I would of found the film at least tolerable had it been made with any sort of half-decent continuity. The lead is rather young looking for a 40 year old character and how old is Leatherface in this? That aspect of the film is sloppy and careless filmmaking.

I agree...that was a gaping pothole. I won't deny, but somehow I still was able to enjoy it.

Surprised at all of the comments dogging Next Generation. Is it a good movie? Lord, no. But unlike this new piece of garbage, it had a demented sense of humor to it that made the ridiculousness all the more appealing. Toss in that absurdly unhinged McConaughey performance and Leatherface cum Elizabeth Taylor & you have some serious entertainment in one shoddy package.

This new movie just reeked.

"I think it's a door..."
"Go through it!"

That exchange was even worse than the horrible "Do your thing, cuz" line.

at least 3d was somewhat different with pacing issues. fans complain about the same thing so when you give them something different they dont like it either.
