If it comes with a VUDU copy, I'll go ahead and get the preorder. Even if it's not UV compatible, I still wouldn't mind having Iron Man 3 in my VUDU account.

I went ahead and picked up a copy and it does look like it has a movie place holder that has HDX checked for owning it.

And thanks for those that PMed me in helping me get my hands on a copy.

Why are you nimrod's complaining? It's a pre-order. If you decide you don't like the movie, it takes all of 5 seconds and a click, and you can cancel it. (or in Wal-mart's case a return, but I've returned open underwear packets and beta fish to them before, so I'm sure it won't be a problem).

The pre-order price seems pretty good too, but I assume there will just be a 3D version, which I'm sure will be good.

This trend of pre sales BEFORE the movie hits my theater is freaking me out

This is a Disney release, right? So this would potentially be the only place to get a UV copy of the movie as they aren't usually included. I need all these extra special features so I'm going to have to get this. Looks like I will have several copies of this. I've pre-ordered the German Steelbook (well until a 3D Steelbook is available anyhow) and I'm sure other stores will have their own exclusives. I have thoroughly enjoyed every second of the special features from the first two movies. No way I'm missing a second of them for this one.
Most of those "extras" appear to be just previews or commercials. The only one that is a featurette is the one about Extremis, and there are many videos about Extremis on YouTube. If the one that you get with the pre-order is only about 2 minutes long, it might be on YouTube already.

If you look at Iron Man 1 & 2 or even Avengers under Vudu their is no UV tag on them so if you buy them it will only be on that Vudu account.
Ahh, ok. Makes sense.

Yeah, I must admit, they didn't seem great but I'm a completist, LOL.

Just watching Extremis stuff on Youtube now. Adi Granov did the artwork and he's one of my favorite comic book artists!

Does anyone know how long the featurettes are? I'm thinking of picking this up tomorrow. But not if they really are just 1 or 2 minutes each.

The featurettes are all pretty short:
Hulk and the Agents of SMASH 7 min
Iron Man & Hulk 4 min
Extremis 5 min
LEGO thing 2 min.

They bigger reason to do this would be that it might be the only cost effective way to end up with a VUDU copy. Though having just got home from the Iron Man Marathon, I enjoyed watching through the features.

Saw it last night and really liked it. I thought it was as good as the first. Only thing I didn't like was the post credits scene. I was expecting something pertaining to The Avengers 2.
