You do realize that you're going to feel very silly after next week, right?

I have to agree 100%. TV usually doesn't get me emotional, but when that happened I literally screamed NO and was moved to tears.

Words on a page could not prepare anyone for this scene!!

I think we all need A group hug!

I don't understand why this is needed, especially in a TV section. Another member already tried doing this and I reported it and they agreed it was not needed and they merged it with the existing thread, but sadly GOT fans are intense and this thread already has a lot of discussion so I guess there is nothing more to be done.

if they drop Lady Stoneheart why even show the resurrection of Beric plus A LOT of people are gonna be royally pissed. It would also mess up the storyline in the future who will then hang Freys,Lannisters and Boltons on the show and capture Brienne.

I hope GRRM is also lying
Thanks for the article.

I thought this was quite interesting especially living in Scotland right now

[Show spoiler]What about the Red Wedding itself? Is that based on history too?
The Red Wedding is based on a couple real events from Scottish history. One was a case called The Black Dinner. The king of Scotland was fighting the Black Douglas clan. He reached out to make peace. He offered the young Earl of Douglas safe passage. He came to Edinburgh Castle and had a great feast. Then at the end of the feast, [the king's men] started pounding on a single drum. They brought out a covered plate and put it in front of the Earl and revealed it was the head of a black boar — the symbol of death. And as soon as he saw it, he knew what it meant. They dragged them out and put them to death in the courtyard. The larger instance was the Glencoe Massacre. Clan MacDonald stayed with the Campbell clan overnight and the laws of hospitality supposedly applied. But the Campbells arose and started butchering every MacDonald they could get their hands on. No matter how much I make up, there’s stuff in history that’s just as bad, or worse.

For the Lady Stoneheart debate going on.... Her role as Lady Cat is over. Her role as Lady Stoneheart is about to begin. There's a fine line of maintaining secrecy and keeping everything a surprise. From GRRM to the cast, they love the show and I believe are all doing their part in the marketing and maintaining the veil. Saying good-bye to the good, kindhearted co-star....cause who we get back, is f***ing ruthless and vicious.

Exactly. Actors don't stop being actors when the cameras cease rolling. They're giving soundbites that the show runners want them to give. Which will, in turn, make the reveal all the more shocking.

hope you guys are right because it would really be insane to cut out Lady Stoneheart when so many right now are yelling for her on twitter even now

https://twitter.com/search/realtime?...heart&src=tyah

people are gonna flip out if they don't bring her on and it would also mess up a great deal on the storyline they created in the books

how are you gonna feel after finally seeing her and not seeing her again??

i still think you are making her out to be a bigger character than she actually is.....@ least up through the end of book 5.

most likely they will show her "resurrection" as the season finale next season. it only makes sense as it is the epilogue of the book and they still have alot of material to cover between last nights episode and the rest of the book.

so don't count her out since she wont be showing up for at least another 10 episodes...(which gives her time to shoot other films/TV hence why she is in currently doing) i foresee it as the finale reveal next season that she is alive.

in terms of character... she in minor in a sense but will play a larger role i believe when "shit goes down"

but in the timeline her resurrection is only 3 days after so it has to be in the next episode it would not work like they did in the books on a tv show. Why do you think they are now showing Theon like this if it was up to the books he shouldn't even be in this season

I found the trailer for the finale to be frustratingly coy, as it shows some of what will happen, while not showing what might happen.

A lot of fans are hoping that it has Joffrey's wedding, to throw us a bone for having to sit through the Red Wedding. Which would be nice, but it would be a bit weird, as it would mean that we had three episodes in a row with weddings.

Whenever I see the whiners complaining about why GRRM/HBO has to kill off all the good characters, I have to wonder if they'd ever had to read or sit through a production of one of Shakespeare's non-comedies. I can imagine Kenneth Branagh directing a new movie of Romeo and Juliet, and people screaming for Branagh's head because the bastard killed off all the good characters.

I really doubt Joffery's wedding would be next week. All those fans are some wishful thinkers haha

And to all the people complaining about GRRM/HBO killing all the good people

This is ASOIAF, nobody is safe.

Catelyns speech to Walder Frey seemed like forshadowing
[Show spoiler] that she will return as Lady Stoneheart on the show. The mention of swearing vengeance on the Freys and Walder seemed so familiar and something Lady Stoneheart is all about.

Wouldnt you guys agree?

Careful, my friend. This is the Book Spoiler Thread, so you may not want to stick around in here.

So I'm a sucker for punishment... I re-watched the episode and found something I missed in chaos.

What happened to Brynden Tully???

He said he was going for a leak before the bedding ceremony & slaughter, but we never see what happens to him. In the books he remained at Riverrun while Robb went to the Twins. Maybe I'm mistaken.

yes but you have to keep in mind that the other wedding, arya trying to get the the eyrie, blah blah happen in those 3 days.... so the show will build up all the wall stuff next season/ king landing stuff and end with that next season. it only makes sense as occurs. the theon thing explains why pieces of him were sent to robb prior to the wedding that shows he is alive. it isnt shown in the episode but it a nod to the book.

you seem to forget that dany taking the cities happens prior to the red wedding and thus must not follow the order of events. this makes it clear that it can only happen this way as showing her live so soon would ruin the impact of her just dying....
