Luckily HBO is keeping this at 8 episodes, I found The Bridge and The Killing dragged a bit in the 10-13 episode range.

Realllly struggled with the premiere unfortunately

I wanted to like it I did! But it was just too slow for my liking.
I liked The Bridge (and agree that show dragged towards the end) but felt there was too much of the Hannibal (tv series) pacing in this one. Too slow, too quiet, nothing happens.

Also, I didn't like the two leads together... didn't think they had any chemistry, and their personalities are boring.
I'll give it the next show but.... I dunno

Finally got around to watching the pilot episode last night, and it was fantastic as expected. This show really nailed the atmosphere. I also loved the chemistry between Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. It was beautiful to watch how well they played off one another. I'm kinda bummed knowing this is the only season we will have with this cast and setting. That being said, I am also excited to see where they will take this show in the future. The choice to make this an anthology type series was a bold one.

Really enjoyed the premiere, watched it twice. And while it is unfortunate that we most likely won't have the two leads in the next season, it's also exciting to think about who their next leads will be. If they can attract talent like McConaughey and Harrelson, you have to think that anyone could be in play for next season.

I saw the premiere a couple of days after, and I must say the atmosphere and drama surrounding the pilot episode really drew me in! I'm already in anticipation for what's in store for the 2nd episode tonight! Looking forward to it!
