Well damn, I hope they take the time and give it a proper HD master then just release a half assed up scale I'm hoping they know Trigun deserves better, just as much as Bebop. It would be an easy cash grab for them, if they actually put money down and made a new HD telecine. They would make a profit from releasing it, you know fans will buy it. They did well with Yu Yu Hakusho but I suppose that wasn't any hard work since they got JP masters easily.

Mushishi doesn't sound bad, I would buy it on blu.

Eh, like Trigun only an SD source exists for Mushishi. Japan released a set back in 2009 and just recently as a couple weeks ago put out a priced-down re-release set (minus a disc, 5 down to 4), both are 1080i upconverted video.
A French version was released mid 2013 but I’m guessing it too is based on the same SD content.
If Funimation had went ahead with their Blu-ray it be a given we’d be getting the same thing as everyone else. That said I’d probably still have bought it as I really liked Mushishi

Unlike Trigun which was cel animated and shot on film, Mushi-shi was digitally animated in SD so upscaling is the only thing they can do with it. That upscale on the Japanese BDs was done right and looks a lot better than the DVDs Funi released here. The current masters Funi has are really noisy and look kinda cruddy.

The reason Funi canned their BD release for Mushi-shi was because the DVD sales at the time weren't good enough. That's why it ended up in the SAVE line. It looks like Funi is passing on the new 1-hour special that Crunchyroll just picked up for streaming too unfortunately.

yeah! I agree, something about the cold atmosphere is really easing. The whole ambiance of the show is complete bliss. It reminds me a lot of Kino's Journey

Mushishi and Kino's Journey are prime examples of anime at it's finest in tv form.... While I didn't like Mushishi much the first time through, the second time through it was amazing....

A guy could wish.

I also wouldn't mind a cheaper version of Baccano.

The opening song to Mushishi is amazing. I didn't like much else about it.

I would like for Ronin Warriors (Samurai Trooper) to get back in print DVD or Blu-ray. I really remember enjoying it on Cartoon Network, the OVA's where alot of fun also.

A proper Ghost in the Shell release (2.0 going all George Lucas was *gag)
The Venus Wars (come on Discotek! Get your head in the game!)
Kaiba (just an absurdly WEIRD show. I love it.)
All Macross ever. Even 7 if it means getting the rest.

Log Horizon, whenever it gets finished. I wasn't a huge fan of the first few episodes and it still gets mired in MMORPG technicalities too often, but the series has definitely grown on me.

Death Note
Monster
X TV (ok I haven't rewatched it in many years. May not hold up as well now that I think about it, but this was the show that got me into anime along with some DBZ)

What are the chances of a new Cowboy Bebop: The Movie blu-ray? Love to see Funimation release it and for it to actually have the bonus features and 5.1 sound transfer.

Kinda forgot about the Wonder Egg Priority Blu-ray but I wasn't aware that Ghost Stories was getting one. Does the site's region coding listing mean region A but playable on other regions or just locked to region A?
