I have no faith in Patrick Hughes directed and a Michael Bay produced remake of The Raid. It's going to wind up being bland bullshit and probably starring Jason Statham.

At least the Joe Carnahan remake sounded kind of interesting.

Right now would be a good time for Joe to announce production on the film that's been reworked from his remake attempt.

I'd love that, although I'm assuming the reason the movie didn't get made was because he couldn't financing for his original vision. I'm assuming it would be even harder for him now that he wouldn't be able to call it "The Raid".

Definitely call it something else besides using the title of the classic film "The Raid" starring Iko Uwais. Then that would be okay. Because The Raid does not need a remake, nor an English version since the dub works fine along with the original language version. And Iko and the rest of the martial arts cast were awesome in the original The Raid. And Raid 2.

Make a new film reimagining set in Philly for Netflix as they're planning, but then call it something new. Don't call it "The Raid".

The Raid: Retaliation, or The Raid: Resurgence could work. Please use a new title/subtitle to respect the original. Fans will still see the connection and the title won't be stepping on the original title.
