If there was, Frightener22, zbinks, or Val Lewton would have posted it. There's no point bumping the thread every month otherwise.

I'm sorry I "bothered" you. There's no point keeping this thread open either.

It's not a 'bother'. As soon as Bill posts some sort of update on Facebook, one of those prolific three posters will doubtless re-post the update in this thread. So their silence in this thread answers your 'any update?' query. Threads on this forum are typically updated as new information becomes available.

Ordered, thanks. I was on the fence about Maniac, but with the $6 savings (I was planning on buying the other 3 anyway), I decided to give it a shot.

Wait - so you can only buy this in a combo pack, or is that going to change?

Single copies will be up when diabolik relieves them. This is just a preorder bonus.

Wow.

A whole $6 discount AND Police Connection didn't go out of print when Bill said it would?

Say what you want, but I just can't support this dude or his label anymore.

Sorry.

Looks like Nightmare and Retribution will be my only Code Red discs.

Oh, and Fatal Games and Opera when they're released in 2022 to 2025, respectively.

Yikes.

Diabolik bought what was left of Police Connection blu since Bill himself via Cartel can no longer sell it. And whatever's left is all that there will ever be. Also, saving $6 is good to me since I wanted all 4 in the bundle anyways. Every little bit helps.

I want to think this is a sarcastic post but that doesn't translate over the webs well.

So you're complaining about a bundled package savings that Bill doesn't control then blaming him because you didn't fully read what he said about POLICE CONNECTION's availability after June 30th?!?!

Troll much?

Thanks. I always have to fight the urge to respond to his anti-Code Red posts. You guys basically covered it. It's just a shame Bill is going to be missing his loyal support of two products purchased. I'll have to do my part to make up for the loss of sales.

I think that bundles are generally a good idea ... if they are offered as an additional option to single orders with a 'positive' price incentive.

I do not like 'negative' incentives like this one where certain titles are only available in combination with other products you might not want.

As announced the titles will be available seperately later but this does not satisfy the collectors who want to order the titles now. To me the underlying message is: If you don't buy what we want you to buy you have to wait longer.

To my mind 'punishing' customers is not the right way. I would have prefered the other way round: 'reward' the customers who buy more with price incentives, extra goodies or early shipments.

It is no problem for me to wait. Still the strategy behind it leaves an unpleasant aftertaste.

Completely agree. Everybody likes to save a buck or two, myself included, but I'm not buying something I don't need just to get one or 2 titles. I'll wait. Only thing is, by waiting, I may just put off purchasing the separate titles until much later. The downside to that is, for both myself and the seller, I may lose interest and simply move on. Hunting down obscure movies used to be fun but nowadays it feels more like work

As stated, the bundles are just a pre-order incentive; they'll be sold separately when in stock.

Diabolik apparently got a shipment of around 100 Police Connection BDs. Anyone wanting the flick should probably snatch it up.

Now up for sale!

HOUSE ON THE EDGE OF THE PARK David Hess BluRay (limited 1500 edition) $26.95

http://www.codereddvd.bigcartel.com/product/house-on-the-edge-of-the-park-david-hess-bluray-limited-1500-edition

Quote:
House on the Edge of the Park has no mercy. Right from the start, the evil and violence of Alex (David Hess, Last House On The Left, Avalanche Express, Swamp Thing) dominates the story as he strangles an innocent young girl. After helping a rich couple with their car, Alex and his simpleminded sidekick, Ricky (John Morghen, Cannibal Ferox, Cannibal Apocalypse, The Gates Of Hell), invite themselves to an upscale dinner party. The attendees seem jaded and looking for wild disco kicks, unaware of the two dangerous criminals in their midst. When the tension explodes, this friendly evening gathering descends into an unrelenting orgy of humiliation, mutilation and murder. As with his taboo-breaking classic Cannibal Holocaust, director Ruggero Deodato pushes the limits of acceptable content in a movie further than ever. Now watch this savage classic of Italian cinema in startling HD!

HD master with additional color correction

On camera interview with stars David Hess, John Morghen, Karoline Madeck
