I've said it before and I'll say it again, if we get an extended cut, it will be in the Phase 2 boxset, hopefully with an extended Thor: The Dark World cut.

I take it Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2 will be released the same day just like Season 1 was with The Winter Soldier. Will be nice to re-watch the pre Ultron episodes first like I did with The Winter Soldier.

That would make sense. Truth be told, we could see three Marvel projects on the same day in September - SHIELD S2, Ultron and Daredevil. Maybe Agent Carter as well.

If that pans out, I detect a serious case of Marvel Malise hitting the workplace in September.

Episodes 1-19 are before Ultron was released and episode 19 is a tie-in before the movie. Episode 20 is said to be happening the same time as the movie. For example I just seen online they will mention
[Show spoiler]who gave Fury the Helicarrier.

So episodes 17-22 of Season 1 and Episodes 1-19 of Season 2 all take place between Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Age of Ultron? Does Guardians of the Galaxy fit into any of the episodes?

Yes there's Episodes 1-7, Thor: The Dark World, Episodes 8-16 (Although the Thor connection isn't as important as The Winter Soldier), The Winter Soldier, Episodes 17-22, Season 2 Episodes 1-19, Age of Ultron. Guardians can go anywhere since it doesn't deal with anything from Earth. I would either put it after The Dark World (due to the after-credit scene) or after Season 1 since it was released between the seasons and helps break them up.

The phase one set had less special features than the standard releases, and what they added that was unique was pretty lame. I really don't see a basis for expecting anything different next time.

Well, in order for the movies from Iron Man 3 to Guardians of the Galaxy to boast even fewer bonus features, Disney/Marvel would have to press new discs...That being said, an extended Age of Ultron sounds too elaborate compared to what the bonus disc of the Phase One set contained.

Put Captain America: The First Avenger at the beginning of that list and i'm 100% on board!

We can only hope. These films have all been so massively successful (Phase 2) so hopefully Disney recognizes the opportunity to attract us diehards with extended versions etc and milk the cash cow by making us pony up for the boxset to get the bonuses we want. I am happy to buy this set if they make it worth it.
