Wow. So much hate just for a trailer. It deals with Halloween so I'm in for at least one viewing. Here's hoping I can add it to my future October viewings but if not its ok. Gotta give it at least one shot.

The hate is not so much for the trailer, but for the poster. Happens alot around here, you get used to it.

Oh come on, it looks like a sequel that's so cheap and lazy it doesn't even have the same cast. We're in Splash Too territory here.

What's inexplicable is that there was a 3-year gap between movies. I could understand the cast from the first one not being available had they rushed the sequel into production, but that didn't happen here.

I thought we might get a legit Goosebumps franchise with Jack Black recurring as RL Stine but they clearly didn’t want to invest in it, and this looks like the old Goosebumps tv movies.

They're only hurting themselves by not having the original cast return. This one does indeed look cheap in comparison. It's unfortunate. I'm interested because it's Halloween themed and I loved the first, but I'm not expecting much. Honestly they may as well just start adapting each individual book. They could probably do that for 10-20 Million. Keep it fairly lower budget and release one every Fall. I would definitely like to see a feature-length version of Werewolf of Fever Swamp.

WTF a whole new cast. That is just the dumbest thing. The first one was a succes so the sequel with a whole new cast makes no sense at all.

Official MPAA Rating: Rated PG for scary creature action and images, some thematic elements, rude humor and language.

Huge fan of Goosebumps growing up and I still find the cover art on the series to be legit masterpieces. The cgi in the first film gave me a brain tumor though, don't know how anyone other than small children could want another one.

I thought the first movie was a very enjoyable monster adventure family movie with good humor and a great and unique dual performance from Jack Black. Yeah, the CGI was rough for the most part (though the praying mantis looked the best), but I thought the rest of the movie was good enough to make up for it. Though, with the stuff I'm seeing of this sequel, I'm not really looking forward to this, especially since the original plan was supposed to be Horrorland.

Man, the Goosebumps books and TV show were my jam as a kid. I still watch the show on Netflix around Halloween for some good, cheesy fun. I want to be excited for the second movie, just like I wanted to be excited for the first. I enjoyed it well enough, but I was a little let down. I wish they'd gone with the original idea of doing a sequel set around Horrorland; that would be interesting to see. I feel like a more contained story, or even an anthology, Twilight Zone-esque episodic movie would fare better.
