From April 2006 to December 2006 i was the biggest HD DVD ***** you could handle.. now i'am 100% Blu Only... Why well my A1 failed me so many times, that i just gave up and sold everything..

Your best bet is to get the Panasonic 30 since it will take full advantage of your receiver.

And you missed a big con to the PS3 that is a pro for the 30.
Bitstreaming of all advanced codecs.

Panasonic DMP-BD30 is the only player to go for right now, It's the player I'm getting from the US for region A discs

Maybe I should wait for the weekend if I decide on the BD-30. I just found something on another forum where someone claims there will be a 10 free movies, (5 in store/5 mail in) + 10%? Can anyone confirm this?

I cannot confirm but that person does post the ads every week in advance and is right much more often than wrong.

But I would say go buy the unit. And if the sale is on go back on Sun and get them to price match it. They will do it at Best Buy. Since if the sale is true and I would say it is the players will go quick. So it would be easier to get now.

Go with the Panasonic 30. The PS3 is nice, but it doesn't bitstream DTS-HD and you have to buy a separate remote for it if you want one. I went with the PS3 because I am a gamer and I also love Blu-ray.

It is true and this will be happening at Best Buy. Wait and purchase the Panasonic BD-30.

Yah, I will keep an eye on it. I was down there today and they had 1 open box that someone returned and one new unopened. List price was $499.99 w/ 5 movies mail in. I want a better deal than that.
