Actually, just two so far. I'm not 100% until Criterion announce it themselves, but hopeful.

Of you're right, it felt like more for some reason.

Bittersweet news for me. My wife and I really enjoy(ed) this film, but unfortunately when we were watching it, many years ago, we received word that her brother had passed away and she never saw it in its entirety.
So, sadly this film will always be linked to that day.
Also for that reason, I never added this to my collection...hopefully this release will rectify that.

"Previous" usually means the one right before the current one.

My favorite film of the 00's? I'm in. I've got the 2-disc edition from years back, but this will be an automatic buy.

Miller's Crossing would be even sweeter (I considered it their best until No Country). I think Lebowski is getting a 4K disc from Universal.

Fantastic film. I'd rank it in my top 3 post-2000.

But does it really need a new release? I'd rather Criterion focus efforts on films that have not been released or need upgrades.

A potential fresh, new 4K scan, though? Sign me the f*&k up. The current BD is like a decade old, now.

I love this film and it would probably be in the 10 ten of the past decade for me, but I agree that I'd rather them put their time into a film needing of a release.

Like, say, that other 2007 Deakins film that desperately deserves a better transfer.

It aint all waitin on you. Thats vanity.

(Seriously, how fun is it dropping quotes from this movie into otherwise unremarkable conversations? Lately I've been fixated on Chigurh's "Not in the sense that you mean," as a go-to for any misunderstanding.)

I just revisited the previous (or was it the previous previous? ) edition and it could definitely stand a new scan. It looks just fine most of the time, but Deakins' photography could/should be gorgeous.

Ah, true; I just think this is such a stone, drop-dead damn masterpiece that I can't conjure quibbling. I'd buy the shit out of a CC TAOJJBTCRF (and twice as fast if it's a longer cut) but No Country bows to no one.

It's one of my all time favorite films for sure. I just think the current transfer is perfect
