Marvel Cinematic Universe or whatever you call it
Pirates Of The Caribbean Divergent (I love the books and I liked the first two movies but making a TV series spin-off is just going to ruin it even more) X-Men, now that Disney is going to ruin it... Transformers The Fast And The F***ing Furious Star Wars Jurassic Park James Bond Despicable Me Cloverfield (I know it's not really a "franchise" but it's kind of an anthology.) Stranger Things. I know it's a "TV" series but each season is treated like a movie so |

I have nothing against franchises. If they go on and on, I can and will watch the ones I like and ignore the rest. I wouldn't demand any series to end because of what I think. Similarly, if a series I like ends, it won't hurt my feelings in the long run.
All that being said, I will list the ones I do feel I have given up on and won't be excited about seeing any more.

Really just the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They are the one clogging up movie theatres with their endless sequels, if they stopped existing there would be far better options available. Other franchises annoy me that they exist (Star Wars being the main example) but do not release so many films that it affects me negatively like the MCU does.
That being said, I would not mind if every movie series ended. |

If people who hate the Transformers films are still paying to see them even though they can't stand the fact the the series is still going well that's there problem not the fans of the franchise. So yes they do need to grow up there are more important things to get worked up over. It's silly to get worked over the fact that The Transformers Franchise is still going. I was using the Transformers franchise as a for instance. Last edited by Gizz; 01-18-2018 at 07:09 AM. |

![]() ![]() also.....how does a movie franchise existing affect you in a negative way?? personally, I had no interest in the Twilight, Divergent, or Hunger Games series......never watched a single one. did their existence hurt my feelings or affect me negatively in any way?? no. I moved on with my life and for the most part, forgot that they even existed. |

Bond, Transformers and F&F.
Bond: because I feel like it has so many actor's playing the character over the years and it just doesn't feel like any of the stories are connected to each other. Transformers: 3 should have been the last one. Why Spielberg and Paramount "OK'ed" into doing 4 and 5 is beyond me.... I don't care about how much money they made. Bay's writers suck, along with his teenage behavior (see transformers 2) make it a joke to the series in General. F&F: I have only seen 4 and 5, and never seen the others but still they feel like they come out every 2 or 3 years. Star Wars: Depending how things go after episode 9 and the whole twice a year movie release may make the series reach it's peak by 2020. |

However, what I said was, if MCU films stopped clogging up theatres, people would be able to see those movies in the theatre rather than waiting for the Blu-ray or streaming release. |

I don't think the answer to that question is an obvious no but I don't think it's an obvious yes either. |

![]() This place is lousy with this kind of stuff. Too many comic book movies. Too many sequels. To many reboots. Too many this. Too many that. I dunno, maybe this is the end of the world as we know it but me? I feel fine. Hey, that's kinda catchy... |
