I think it's time i revisit the first film. The one and only time i saw It's Alive was back in the mid 90's. Me and my girlfriend at the time rented the VHS from Blockbuster. Never saw the sequels.

I like the first film a lot, but I think 2 is probably the best of the bunch.

Nice that all three are being released on Blu-ray, but I wish there was a way to buy the films individually. I only like the first movie, I don't care too much about the sequels.

The asking price for all 3 films is going to be the same or less as a Vestron release or some of the single film collectors edition releases from Scream Factory. You're paying for one movie but getting 3 if/when Amazon prices this in the mid 30's.

This is wonderful news! Thank you Scream! I hope this means a deal with Warner for horror titles!

He Knows You're Alone!(1980)
Exorcist II: The Heretic
Exorcist: The Beginning
Dominion: Prequel to The Exorcist
Fearless Vampire Killers (1967)
Helter Skelter (1976)

Even though it's not with Warner, wish Scream could release The Stepford Wives (1975).

I think The Stepford Wives is one of those titles that is being held hostage by the rights holder and it would take a minor miracle for it to be released.

This is a Holy Grail level release for me. I've been waiting, what 15 years+ for the trilogy to be release in HD.

Now, a couple of concerns. I hope the retail price of $40 doesn't mean this will be a shipshod production. We're practically guaranteed to see each film only on a BD25 at this price point. Hopefully, they won't be bit-starved.

And another BIG uncertainty is: Has Scream Factory finally invested in a proper and professional .h264 encoding software? I remember HUGE problems with THEY LIVE, MOTEL HELL, PSYCHO 2 and 3, many other of their releases have been plagued with EE and macroblocking compression artifacts.

Your customers are a tough crowd, Scream, but please try to make this release extra-special. Double-check your QC, make sure there are no screw-ups in authoring, compression, etc. Thanks from your fans...

Were you in a coma from 2013 till now? Scream Factory's encoding is considerably better these days, though they occasionally screw up (though not as frequently as in the early days).

Just placed my pre order with Diabolik. Looking forward to revisiting the first film and checking out the sequels for the first time.

It has a very low list-price - $49.97 - so the current price is Amazon's usual 34% off. Assuming the usual price drops/discounts, it will be $28.44 or less at DD during their March/April sales.

I want it to be cheap, but I don't want you to be cheap. So you want them to go the extra mile for you, but you don't want to have to pay for it. What a dick.

I’m game at $33. Was hoping for the $29.99 range, but that could still happen.

If the price for this set stays low I think it'll be safe to assume it won't be packed with extras - otherwise it would've been in the $34-99 to $49.99 range (not MSRP). They'll likely be Larry Cohen commentaries but not much else. As long as they do the best they can with the HD masters I'll be happy.

Yeah, I preordered. It's a great price. . . basically 10 bucks per film, and if a better deal comes around it can be cancelled so easily.
